Quote From: here2lose50For the past 3 days here, it's been crazy with the music festival in town, working hard till 3:30am and sleeping all day just to do it again. So, no exercise for those days. But I couldn't bring myself to check in here until I dragged my tired body out to the backyard to do 30 minutes of aerobics today. Wow, I feel much better. Not only 'cause I got a good workout in but because I can face you all again! Ha ha!!
I've been catching up on everyone's posts and I want to say that I, too, find it a tremendous help that you're all here.
I also want to say that when talking about eating habits, looks like some of us are still eating junk food or fast food. Cutting down your nasty-food portions might seem like a victory but I'll be VERY surprised if anyone shows significant results by including Burger King, Taco Bell and french fries as part of their strategy.
Please make a plan to replace those meals with foods that you cook yourself, like a grilled chicken breast that HASN'T been injected with mayo. I've been in the restaurant and bar biz forever. You others out there in the biz know what I'm talking about. Whole wheat buns grilled on lard (for flavor). Fresh steamed veggies bathed in full-fat butter (for flavor).
I just want to wake you up to what you're really putting in to your body. Doesn't Dr. Phil say not to lie to yourself? Not to fool yourself with those un-truths? If you think it's a healthy eating habit to include only a smaller portion of something full of grease and fat, I believe you're going to continue to find yourself frustrated.
Thanks for listening. Keep up the good work!
I agree with you my mom is my partner to keep tabs on each other and motivate each other and yesterday my sister talked her into Taco bell I could have killed them both.
I have worked in burger king, McDonald and a breakfast bar in a hotel . Your putting garbage in your mouth. I think if your starting out don't even eat out. you have to first discipline yourself and teach yourself how to cook for you and make good food choices before you let some stranger cook your food but if need be go to SUBWAY for your fast food or a deli of some sort. Fresh is the key and lots of veggies no processed foods. When you go grocery shopping stay on the premier of the store mainly in produce. This all in Dr. Phil book. good luck I have to remind myself this daily. Stay @ home with 3 kids and a husband you can eat anything and not gain a pound.
