Very well said

Quote From: idealw8

Whether they’re buying at a local drug store or the ritziest downtown boutique, eating fast food, or at a five star restaurant, they are eating (touching, drinking) a LOT more than SNOT! If you don’t act like a HUMAN, you’re not going to get treated like one.

Also, CUSTOMER SERVICE DOESN'T MEAN CUSTOMER'S SERVANTS! When you pay SOMEONE ELSE to do something you are too lazy, too busy, etc., to take care of yourself, you should be THANKFUL for any help. If you’re EVER being rude, unreasonable, arguing, demanding, unprepared, or even just calling or insisting on talking to the wrong department, YOU ARE INTERFERING WITH THAT PERSON'S JOB!

If you’re LUCKY and the person you’re bullying is nice, you’ll get ignored, pitied, or hung up on. If you’re like most aggressive customers, YOU'RE GETTING LOST IN THE SYSTEM UNTIL IT'S TIME TO USE YOUR CREDIT RATING TO SCRUB TOILETS, or eating snot, or not getting that shoe in your size, or whatever service is being provided.

There is absolutely no reason to be rude or disrespectful to anyone to get what you want. You will get out of life what you put into it.

I have worked in different jobs that work with people on different levels. The one I currently work in is an area that I worked in 10 years ago and have come back to because I can make people happy on the level that I enjoy. Other jobs it was mostly phones. Sure , I was nice to them on the phone and tried to be helpful but now I am able to smile at people and they can see me. They can really see for themselves that I am happy to make them happy. I have A LOT of elderly people come in and they love it when you smile at them and are compassionate with them. Well everybody does. If these B@%*h's would stop and try being a little sweeter then they would find how much more they would get. You don't have to be mean and nasty to keep from being taken advantage of. Caution and wisdom will help with that.

God ALWAYS hears you

Quote From: jsdbaker

I pray, yet it seems like no one hears. Jewels

I know it doesn't feel that way. So many times I have sat and cried and felt alone & wondered why my parayers went unheard or unanswered. Then one day when I least expect it I get my answer and never have I gotten an answer that does not have God's presence and influence in it. You are a child of God and he loves you beyond all words. He is there and while it does break his heart to see you hurt so bad he is there.  I promise you he IS there. The best thing you can do for yourself is call on him even when you don't think he is listening. Every fear, worry, pain and sorrow you have to call on God. I know I need to take my own advice at times but he loves you and we love you and you are not alone. If I could I would come to you, take you to lunch or for for coffee and give you a big hug and tell you what a wonderful person I have gotten to see through the things that you say on these boards. You are sweet and caring to everyone here and we appreciate that. And we need you here. Your a precious Jewel to us. Better than the hope diamond. :)

Good Evening to all

I'm back......

I got my internet back today. It couldn't have come at a better time. I am in need of my sweet encouraging friends her. I have been crying on & off for the last week or so but yesterday & today have been really bad & I feel myself slipping into those ugly thoughts again.

I am glad to be back here though & hope everyone is doing well.

YesYouCan....

Don't you live in Texas? My sister is moving there (that's part of my tears). She's moving to Tyler area. Her husband just got a job there. It really is a smart move for her but I still will miss her. She's the whole reason I moved to stinking Florida (LOL).

Depression

Quote From: yesyoucan

Tyler is a lovely, lovely city and Rose Capitol of the world. At one time I thought it'd be nice to live there. We have flown into the airport there when Lynn used to fly. The airport restaurant in Tyler uses home made bread for buns and are HUGE enough to split and oh so yummy. You can get a dozen roses at airport for $4 or used to you could. Maybe not now. And Tyler roses smell like roses. So, when will you be moving to Texas? I imagine that she is going to miss you too. Thank God for the internet and unlimited minutes. Southwest Airlines runs some specials sometimes out of Love Field Airport called funfares. You have to get tickets in advance yet can be half price sometimes. Love Field is about ten minutes from where we live. I guess there are shuttle flights from Love Field or DFW Airport to Tyler...not sure how much those cost or your sister could pick you up when you visit.

You have the vivid joys I find to be absolutlely priceles in life. The simple joy of the smell of roses. I bought a gardenia bush the other day in a fit of depression just for the joy it's smell brings.

My sister tells me I have to send my daughter out every summer cause her boys just love my daughter. My youngest nephew (3 ys.old) says that his syssa (Lyssa) is his girfriend. He LOVES my daughter to pieces.  It's just sad.

I know it's a great oppritunity for her. It just really stinks for me.
