Quote From: ritehere I'm very fortunate to have many sisters and brothers. They, and my parents, are all still here, something I'm deeply thankful for. We try to get together whenever we can, even though we are scattered from the very northern-most to the southern reaches of the great plains. Last year I hosted Christmas at my house, with 10 guests staying over and 4 more dropping in all day. With us it was 18 people for Christmas dinner. I loved every minute of it. We played games and laughed and joked non-stop.
This year I'm having Thanksgiving here, but it will just be me and hubby, our kids, their kids, and possible my son-in-law's mother. Last year we had Thanksgiving at my hubby's sister's and her family. We all tend to trade off and travel to each other's.
One tradition that I've always wanted to start is going to the Parade of LIghts in Denver, but seem to always be busy at that time. There are school programs and the employees parties to go to.
I could just feel the excitement in your reply. I don't know what I will do this year but, there is talk of going to Arches National Park for Thanksgiving. Might be some good pictures if there is snow on them. I am putting together calendars for Christmas gifts with my photos. Maybe that could be my tradition...making calendars from the photos I shot all year on my travels.
Thank-you
