I'm sorry but Pageants are BAD

Pageants are not about the kids they are just little mannequins that these adults are using to play their sick little games with, while greedy other adults are making a ton of money.  In the meantime while these adults are amusing themselves and making tons of money these kids are being taught that, being superficial has its rewards and it is ok to judge people by their appearance.

There should be age limits on these thing just like competive sports kids under the age of 16 or 17 should not be allowed.

Well it is silly to spend on a kids activity but hardly buy a house for $90,000

My Husband would rip me a new one if I spent that kind of $ on pageants even with the ones we do that do not allow make-up!  SHAME SHAME SHAME!   I thought $900 for 4 of my kids was a bad one!

Come on $90,000, she could have bought a house!

Who agrees?

I can't buy a house for $90,000 but I could send 90 aids orphans to school in africa for a year for that.  Humm...  How should we spend our money?  Helping poor kids or turning our own into selfish shallow, vain people.  $900 would go a long way to sending one too.

My 10 year spent her weekends bottle feeding kittens we rescued from shelters and riding her bike and planting a garden.  My 6 year old helped too.

They also choice to gather used school supplies around the house rather then buying new so they could use the money they earned and saved for thier supplies to buy them for kids who could not afford and never had new supplies.

What values are you teaching your kids?
