Hi Sweets!

Quote From: sweets537

today is a bad bad day. i have cried all morning and my marriage is falling apart. for the first time my husband and i talked and things are not well.
I'm sorry you are having a bad day. Sometimes Sweets marriages that fall apart can come back together if both people want it bad enough. When a couple get the space they get a chance to look at the good and the bad and see if it can be salvaged or not. Sometimes when a couple is in the middle of the turmoil neither can focus on anything but the storm. It is good you and your hubby are talking but Sweets you have to let him know what is going on with you and none of this is his fault he probably thinks he is behind your unhappiness. A marriage is a complicated thing even in the best of cases and even harder when one is dealing with depression too.  Maybe your hubby is waiting to hear you say how important he is to you and how much you want this relationship to work. Making time for him is essential and even though this message board is a great support system I try not to stay on too much when I am home with my hubby and spend that time with him. I know when I am home I don't like my hubby spending all his time on the computer when we can be talking. So Sweets keep talking and let him know what you are doing to make things better for You. I am sure if he married you he loves you but it can be really hard for our loved ones to see us so sad so this can sometimes put a big strain on a marriage. I send you many hugs and prayers for things to get better. People do not just fall out of love so your situation is not hopeless. My hubby has been in an apartment for a year now and we will be moving back together. We stayed friends through the whole separation. So instead of crying today Sweets write him a letter telling him how much he means to you and your marriage.

Ha Ha His Jewel!

Quote From: hisjewel

Now what kind of poem could you put with that one!

Better a buzzard in the hand than over the head

Making one wish they were dead

What an ugly fellow he is to see

Can make you so sad to be

 Steals your joy each day

Makes you lose your way

But not TODAY!

How's that for a quickie poem! STOMP THAT RASCAL!

Quote From: forever_29

After our discussion the other day I just

had to post this article taken from our l

ocal paper. It seems my prayers were

answered . Now we are a community that

cares. I hope anyone in need of help will see

this post and contact their local United Way.

What do you have to lose?

Assistance offered in paying power bills

LAUGHLIN, NV - Nevada Power, in partnership

with United Way of Southern Nevada, will offer

assistance to vulnerable adults age 62 or

older - seniors who are isolated, medically

fragile persons and members of the Army Reserve

and National Guard who are having trouble paying

their electric bills.

Project Reach (Relief through Energy Assistance

to prevent Customer Hardships) began accepting

applications on July 19. The program is administered l

ocally through the Family Resource Center, located i

n the Spirit Mountain Activity Center.

I wish you all a COOL and comfortable day!

They have a service like that here Thank God to help seniors with their utility bills in the summer and winter. One man died when they turned his power off in the heat so they can no longer do that and they use the donations for those who cannot pay. It is a great thing! Another resource we have is through Social Services and we have an Interfaith Council that helps anyone with paying a utility bill once a year and help with rent also. A lot of times it is the elderly do not know what is available for them. I usually try to take out information for those that live in my area when I do my neighborhood meetings. It is a good way to help in your community to organize your neighborhoods to get more attention from town hall. Our neighborhood police was telling us at our last meeting we are the most organized neighborhood and when we call we are first priority to get something done.  We have a lot of senior citizens me as well and I want a safe place for them and for me too.

I love the heat and my plants are all drought resistant.

When the temp goes below 80-85 degrees, I'm freezing.

Thankfully, I started menopause early circa 45 y.o and

I'm a few years past those dreaded night sweats and

HOT flashes. LOL!

HUGZ

I love that cute little unicorn. Heavens to Betsy no more hotflashes and night sweats! There will come an ending to this madness! There is a God up there looking out for us women!haha 29 you have gotten spoiled in that heat! You would have icesicles on your eyelashes in the winter here!haha I love the cool not the cold I can't wait until September with the Indian summer my favorite. Hot in the daytime and cool at night.

HaHa His Jewel

Quote From: hisjewel

he must be gaggin it looks like think that man got that buzzard really good!!!!

Buzzards will go from place to place

To rip your flesh

and take you away

they rest on fences and on trees

the go around looking for you and me

those little buzzards have good sight

i tell you we'll catch them at night

that's when they sit down to rest

and then we'll show them who's really the best

their not going to take us to that rocky place

if you don't belive me look at that buzzards face!!1

haaaaaaa!!!!!!!

Great job on the poem. Here's my question buzzards eat everything now do they eat each other? Maybe if we stomp them all down they will eat each other up and we will be rid of depression! Whoopeee!

Mjkkas

I see your mood today is good. I hope you are having a wonderful day. Please jump in on any conversation. As you see I intend to keep my silly mood going for awhile. I did my count down on how much longer I have to go with m,y break and I may have one more month. I am hoping these vitamins will keep that buzzard beat off a little longer. I will find out after August if it will make a difference. I have had a great summer and only asked God for the break to have fun with my grandkids so I will not moan if the ol buzzard comes back. I was glad to have energy to keep up with them and hubby knows he has to do more of the chores when I'm down. He's great with that so I'm giving him a break from most of the cooking and cleaning while I'm able to do it. Hugs and prayers!

I told this story on the boards a long time ago about when we were kids we used to lie on the ground when we saw a buzzard with a stick and wait for those rascals to come down to see if we were dead and clobber them. You can tell we led a very BORING life!haha Hey that was the days of no TV we had to invent fun things to do! My parents did not believe in having a TV I guess I should say there was some black and white ones!haha A SURE sign of my ol age!haha I used to love to watch Queen For A day! It was one old game show. Anyone else old as me remember that one!haha
