Our state of WI. has AAA, who has put a camera in the parents cars, so they can observe thier children's driving habits. They review the tape with the children and then deceide if they still have driving privlieges. Sounds like a good solution for all the states. I
can't believe the Mother of the young lady even hesitated when you asked if she would take away her daughter's phone. You should have had someone bring it from the Green Room and kept it.
It takes some people longer than other's it realize the seriousness of using phones, doing make-up or eating etc., while driving.
