Miscellaneous: Serious Weight Loss- No excuses

Shirley - Good on you for changing your name to something of your own.  I like it!

Karen - here in Australia when people move out of their houses they take the lot except for the stove.  They take blinds, lightglobes (and the fittings if they want them badly enough) and all appliances go.  Some people uproot their gardens as well.

I can't wait to hear all about you settling in with all of your very own things in their own places and you making your own home out of this house.

How did your race go?

I'm chuffed at my weigh-in today and have no idea how it went down but I'm going to build on it and go forward.

Last fortnight: 149.9lbs (68kg)
This week: 146.6 (66.5kg)
Loss: 3.3 pounds (1.5kg)
Remaining: 7.7 pounds (3.5kg)

Walking this afternoon in the brilliant wintery sunshine.

Hope you all had a great weekend.

Hiya Shirley

SUU - You have had a very successful week with a 3.3 pound loss.    Think all the IE and healthy eating is giving you excellent results.

Good for you.      Had a lovely weekend, hope you did too.

Hugs,

Shirley

Many thanks for your continued support.

My weekends are taken up by having my grandchildren over so I always have a good weekend.

Hi Dolores

Quote From: dlrsdrnll

I am so far behind  am not going to try and answer everyone personally.  WE had a great weekend.  We had a very nice cookout today and of course we all ate to much.  Tara has gone with her friend to spend the night.  Thought I would check in.

Suu you gave me some very good info on IE while in the car.  Will give that a shot.  Sounds like you have done very well this week.  I would love to see a 3.3 pound loss in one week.

Karen, I sure don't envy you with all the packing you are doing.  I would think if they said they would leave a electric stove they would have to do it.

Shirley, Glad to hear you had a nice weekend to.  Stay with that healhly eating.  I am going to be right there with you here before you know it.  We have Glenna's birthday to celebrate tomorrow and that should be the last of the eating out for a while anyway.

EVERYONE HAVE A GREAT WEEK AND I WILL CHECK BACK IN WHEN I CAN!!

Hugs,

Dolores

My weight loss was 3.3lb in 2 weeks.   I think the days of losing that much in a week have well and truly gone. lol

It's good to see you so busy!

Cheers,

Suu

Hiya Karen

Karen - Thankyou for the congrats.  You will be missed here while waiting for the internet to be hooked back up. Take care of you and will look forward to hearing all of the new news about your move.   Shirley - Yes, we're about a day in front of you.  At the time of me posting this it will be 10.10am on Wednesday so you'll be able to work out the difference by looking at the posting time.

So, you have grandkids too.  Well, you keep up the good work. Did you say that you are almost at your goal??  - Yes, I have 2 Grots. They are 11 and 9 (Joshua and Amber) and are the light of my life.  I am nearly back at goal after falling off the wagon last year and not getting back on until a few weeks ago.

Good luck with the moving.

Shirley - It's strange being ahead in time.  It's like I should know the outcome of races or the lotto!

Have a great night over there everyone.

Serious Weight Loss - No excuses

 :'(

Char – I will probably post my menus even though the rest of August looks bad as I have a funeral, wedding, major 50's party at the campgrounds, as well as Labor Day weekend to survive.

Key 4 is fantastic for getting through these times without putting on the pounds. :) If you need extra support to get through these times please let us know and we’ll jump at the chance to help you. :-[

Dolores - I will have to get myself off sweets again.  As long as I don't eat any at all and don't have them around it doesn't bother me to much, but I have had to many this month, so know that I might have a problem.  As soon as Glenna leaves, I will have to clean out my environment.

Do you still have your 7 Keys book? I found that by starting from page one again that I’ve re-learned a lot of what I’ve let slip. :-[

Mary – Great to see you!  I’m more than ready to have my eyes done now.  Thank you for helping me by telling me what I’m in for. :)

My cousin (Keri) is on the road to recovery.  She has encephalitis and we were worried sick for her but all the tubes came out yesterday and now she’s having rehabilitation to get her speech back and physiotherapy to get her up and walking again.

News!

I’m getting together a support group in my home!  I’m tired of just existing, not doing, and there has never been a better time to share what I’ve learned with the 7 Keys than right now in the middle of our winter, so people can get fit for summer.

Yesterday I printed out the flyers to put into shop windows and all it says is to go through the Readiness Profile (on the flyers) and if they score between 18 and 20 they can ring me to find out more.  I don’t care if only one person applies!  And it will be the first 100% free support group in the area!

I’ve emailed Dr Phil for some books as we live in a low-income area but even if he can’t send any I will print out things from mine.

My husband, Mick, has put in a fantastic back deck that’s an extension of our undercover entertaining area and I’ve planted heaps of trees all over our yard so it’s almost ready to use. I’ll wait until I’ve had my eyes done next week but I’m not going to wait for the rest of my doctor’s appointments because that would seem to be wasting good time.

??? All the best to all of us! - Suu

Hiya all

Shirley – Oooops, where did I get Mary from?  I don’t even know a Mary. J

Dolores – I take my mother-in-law to dialysis this week and she’s there for quite some time so I’m reading my book there.

I hope your daughter is ok.

Mick and I are always working on our home.  We knock a wall down and put one up, we change the kitchen around, and paint.  (I have wanderlust after being moved around all of my life as my father was in the Air Force.  I went to 17 different schools while growing up!)  So I like to change things around to freshen it all up.  Hubby loves keeping busy and he’s very good at carpentry thank goodness.

On the other thread I’ve challenged us to a challenge ;)  Anyone can join in and it could be a lot of fun along the way while reading our books again.

It's called the [image] and if we all help each other to lose the pounds/kilos then we can claim victory over our weight! Finally.  ::)

SUU:  Thats a great idea to read while waiting for your MIL.  I take Glenna to dialysis, but I go back home and go back to get her when she is finished.  OF course I am not to far from the dialysis center either.  My daughter has been through a lot.  It seems to me they can't get a device in her arm that last very long.  She has had several put in, but then they get clogged and they can't seem to get them unclogged.  They put in a Cather in her neck or chest.

It sounds like you and hubby are quite busy remodeling your home.  Lucky you that he has the know how to do these things.  Wish I had someone to do it here, as it is very expensive.

I wish I could find the other thread.  I have tried,  but with no luck.  I am computer illerate though.  LOL

I typed it in the search box but came up with nothing.  I need something to give me a little kick in the you know what.  LOL

Wonder where our Shirley is today.  Hope her eyes are OK.

Well guess I better get off here and find something for our dinner.  Think we will have a salad tonight with some grilled chicken..

You have a good one!!

Hugs,

Dolores

To find the other thread you can either click on my username and then click on the link that says something like - find posts by this user.  Or if you know how to copy and paste, you can copy this address and paste it in the address bar at the very top of your screen.

http://www.drphil.com/messageboard/topic/3357/

Other than that you can go to Message Boards, click on alphabetical and find it that way maybe?

OR! Give me your email address and I can send a clickable link directly to you that should open the page!

My MIL's veins collapse and she has had a lot of trouble with the 'connection' they put into her abdomen.  In this day and age you'd think they'd have that fixed so as not to have all this trouble.

With our remodelling - I bought the door, door jam, screen door, and the architrave off eBay for less than $100.  Our carpet is bought from garage sales (swap meets).  I don't think we have much in the way of new stuff here.  Even our deck was bought from a recycling builder's depot.

Shirley - Can wait to see what we can come up with for the challenges ahead.  I intend to get my head around why I don't want it badly enough and then move forward,  I want to fit back into the jeans that I bought last year and not waste money on new ones.

It's Monday in Aus! Yippeeeee!

Know what you mean about the jeans you bought last year.  I am in the same mess.  I have very little right now that doesn't cut my breath off when I wear them.  ; (  I will get it off though.  I am determined to do that.  Before I started having company all summer, I was really watching my diet and exercising and I wasn't loosing.  Don't know what is going on with that.  As Shirley can tell you, I was getting very discouraged with the whole thing.  But I do have to get real and get this thing started again.  I don't want to have to buy more cloths.

We’re here to help you as much as you can handle, Dolores.  We all seem to have lost sight of the 7 keys and there’s no time like right now to change that around.  We can do it.

We’re women! Hear us roar!!

Happy Tuesday all

Char - Are you using Key 5 to get the right amount of foods and nutrients?

Maybe you can put up a notice asking whoever took your camera if they could return it anonomously you would be ever so grateful?  Sometimes appealing to the heart brings results.

I will keep your friends' families in my heart and send best vibes across the ocean to them. Hugs to you.

Shirley - I didn't know that you had to still be on the drops after the laser.  Mine are called Xalatan (latanoprost) one drop at night.

You will hear me all the way to Canada and back if it hurts!  Trust me! LOL  Bit scared but less so since talking to you about it.  Thanks heaps.

Dolores - I can hear it in your post that you just might make this year yours!  Good on ya!

I also use Sparke People but only for inspiration to get on with it.  I'm using Key 5 and not going to count anything or weigh anything but me. LOL

When Glenna goes you'll still have all of us so you won't be lonely.  Just give us a yell and we'll yack your head off. hahahaha

I'm off to the other thread to write what I've done so catch you all tomorrow if I can see the computer.
