Wow how sad....tragic.

Once again, had that handgun been locked up solid I wonder if the "moment" of insanity, rage or whatever may have passed without harm?

Certainly it's too early to know all of the details and even if he would have got his hands on another gun, or committed the double homicide in another way regardless.

I feel that there ought to be tighter restrictions on handguns.

Terrible tho....just terrible, especially after hearing the accounts from his friend and neighbor.

Yeah....just makes me wonder about the family dynamics going on there.

So many issues involved that had an impact on this happening....so many ways, I'm sure that it could've been prevented.

Just horrible....such a tragedy for all involved.

If you consider everything we have on our plates, this is not good.  Senator Obama does not have enough practical experience, in my opinion, to be President in these times.  True, he'll have advisers.  So, do we get to interview the advisers and listen to them debate as well?

McCain HAS experience.  Now, promise me he'll stay alive for 4 years.  I hope he lives much longer than that...but he can't die.  Not if he is elected, and he is my choice for President.  Sarah Palin...I have tried..tried beyond all imagination  to see her as the best choice, KNOWING in my heart, Joe Lieberman would have been the only choice where I wouldn't worry.

I want President McCain.  In more stable times, I'd be willing to watch Palin break in.

In better times, if they come, I'd take another look at Obama after he has been around another 4 years.

I may grow to love him, I may detest him...right now, I don't know enough, and what I do know, I'm not very comfortable.  I can listen to what he says, but what does he have to back this up...and some of his ideas, I just don't want.

Sarah Palin is very well spoken.  She is very pretty.  She is Governor of Alaska, a beautiful State...not very heavily populated...not very Cosmopolitan...in my opinion, her experience does not match the needs of our country at this time.  IF McCain should pass away or become unable to perform, she will have advisers...again, same question as I had with Obama...are the advisers going to advise, or govern?  If it is govern, then who are they?  They will not be interviewed, they will not debate...so what do we do?

I doubt either party had any idea this economic crisis wwould be such an issue when they were choosing candidates for the Party.  It was not the time to "experiment"...even before this disaster, after 8 years of George Bush, we needed some bad *ssed politicians with experience.  Ball dropped BIG time with not choosing Hillary...Guiliani would have been better...trust me, the man can turn things around, although he was not my choice, I'd take him over Obama.

Now, with Gov. Palin...big error...not when Lieberman had stepped over to McCain's side.

Joe Biden?  As a President, if necessary....I'm not a fan.

After listening to Congress yesterday, and looking at Sarah Palin...I got sick..

So I am voting with less enthusiasm, more anger at these politically correct attempts to win the election, and hoping McCain has his Mother's genes.  It's a hell of a way to vote, and the worst possible time to have to be doing it.

So....who's this Ron Paul guy? Is he still in the runnin?

I'm going to do my soapbox thing real quick.

Please register and when you do think of the women who came before you who dedicated their time and energy to fight for the right to vote.  Think of all the women who came before you who were treated as incapable of making such an important decision, that were supposed to be good little women who knew "their place".

I think of my grandmother who told me stories of the poll tax that they were required to pay.  It was meant to keep the poor, the immigrants, people of color and women from being able to vote.  She was an "uppity woman" who worked and paid that tax because she felt it was not only a right but an obligation.

You don't have to know much about politics to be able to decide.  Go to each candidates website, take everything with a grain of salt and do the best you can.

Susan B. Anthony will be smiling.  : )

LOL That was good timing....just before I read this, I sent my son out to the mailbox with my voter registration!!!!

Hey Lisa....is jury duty in Ohio based only on voter registration?  In AZ, it's that plus driver's license.  Also, you can get a doctors permission to be excused from jury duty here in AZ.  Check out that possibility.

I'll just go in there and tell them I'm a witch...that should get me out of it!!!! Oh, wait....then I'd be lying...maybe I'd have to use something else....LOL

I'm sure my honesty would be enough to get me out of it....can't have any of that in gov't. LOL

I can understand your concerns.  If Palin by some unfortunate circumstances does end up in the Presidential position...who is it that would become Vice President at that time?

Yeah, I'm hoping that McCain has his Mother's genes, too...He seems to be in pretty good condition for his age and the horrific things he endured as a POW.

His thinking scares me....then Palin's on top of it...whoa.

Depending on the case at hand, there are plenty of things you could say to get excused, and not lie! ;)  It's easier to get a doctor's permission and send it in though...BTDT.

I wouldn't have such a problem doing it per se...it's the repercussions that go along with it that concern me.

True.....I seriously doubt that my health would allow me to do that...especially if it went on for hours and day on end. I'd fall over....if I could even make it there!

The repercussions as in the affects of it on you later on physically?

Mentally....then people involved in the case that are piss'd about the decision and make threats or come after the jurors.
