Quote From: kathleen27If you consider everything we have on our plates, this is not good. Senator Obama does not have enough practical experience, in my opinion, to be President in these times. True, he'll have advisers. So, do we get to interview the advisers and listen to them debate as well?
McCain HAS experience. Now, promise me he'll stay alive for 4 years. I hope he lives much longer than that...but he can't die. Not if he is elected, and he is my choice for President. Sarah Palin...I have tried..tried beyond all imagination to see her as the best choice, KNOWING in my heart, Joe Lieberman would have been the only choice where I wouldn't worry.
I want President McCain. In more stable times, I'd be willing to watch Palin break in.
In better times, if they come, I'd take another look at Obama after he has been around another 4 years.
I may grow to love him, I may detest him...right now, I don't know enough, and what I do know, I'm not very comfortable. I can listen to what he says, but what does he have to back this up...and some of his ideas, I just don't want.
Sarah Palin is very well spoken. She is very pretty. She is Governor of Alaska, a beautiful State...not very heavily populated...not very Cosmopolitan...in my opinion, her experience does not match the needs of our country at this time. IF McCain should pass away or become unable to perform, she will have advisers...again, same question as I had with Obama...are the advisers going to advise, or govern? If it is govern, then who are they? They will not be interviewed, they will not debate...so what do we do?
I doubt either party had any idea this economic crisis wwould be such an issue when they were choosing candidates for the Party. It was not the time to "experiment"...even before this disaster, after 8 years of George Bush, we needed some bad *ssed politicians with experience. Ball dropped BIG time with not choosing Hillary...Guiliani would have been better...trust me, the man can turn things around, although he was not my choice, I'd take him over Obama.
Now, with Gov. Palin...big error...not when Lieberman had stepped over to McCain's side.
Joe Biden? As a President, if necessary....I'm not a fan.
After listening to Congress yesterday, and looking at Sarah Palin...I got sick..
So I am voting with less enthusiasm, more anger at these politically correct attempts to win the election, and hoping McCain has his Mother's genes. It's a hell of a way to vote, and the worst possible time to have to be doing it.
