It would be normal to feel crushed if you have had an open / honest discussion/decision about having children and then your partner backed out. Matt did NOT get this choice ... which he surely deserved after HAVING the discussion. Just because the baby is born, people expect that the child will be instantly loved and appreciated. Instead, the girl's actions caused instant resentment and Matt surely feels trapped. It's no different than when we women choose to abort when pregnancies come at the wrong times in OUR lives. The guys, however, do not have that choice - and should NOT have been tricked into being a parent. I'm very tired of reading all these postings about how GUILTY he should feel.... HOGWASH!! -- she lied ... lied ... lied ... it is HER responsiblity.
