Linda is right.... I didnt even think of it although Ive read about it when I was looking at reasons that could be hindering me from losing weight before I tried dr Phils weight loss plan... Which it worked for me so I looked no further. I found some information... If you have a thyroid problem it would be Hypothyroidism. Hypothyrodism keeps your body from losing weight and Hyperthyrodism makes it hard to gain. I am copy and pasting some things about it below for you.... Also... I have read if your hormones are off that can cause reasons not to lose weight... If you have estrogen dominance in your system... it will store fat because that is what that hormone does, but when in balance with other hormones which there are other hormones in your body that uses that and burns it as energy. I didnt know if that was what was wrong with me but knew my hormones were off so I am on natural progesterone cream at the moment. I dont think it was hindering my loss now though but I know its helping in other areas.

When estrogen levels are high in relation to our progesterone we experience many severe symptoms, among them: anxiety, breast tenderness, cyclical headaches or migraines, depression, digestive issues, fuzzy thinking, palpitations, food cravings, irregular bleeding, water retention, weight gain and more.
(Note that a number of these symptoms are also indicative of the exact opposite condition — a deficiency of estrogen — another reason why the concept of estrogen dominance is too simplistic.)
If estrogen levels stay unopposed , women may develop infertility, endometriosis, amenorrhea (skipped periods), hypermenorrhea (heavy bleeding), fibroids, uterine cancer, stroke, and decreased cognitive ability, among other conditions.
