My friend has the same problem when her step kids are thier, they won't eat anything she cooks, so she says if you don't eat it you don't get anything until the next meal. Her hubby agreed with her so she is lucky that way. I did the dayhome for 7 years and did the same thing, you eat it. I mean I dont' make gross things, and I try to make things that eveyone likes so it usally went ok. Same with my friend, she doens't make gross things....normal pototoes chicken or roast, veggies, hot dogs you know what I mean! Nope it is not a restuarant! My little one is picky with his food and since I have been working 4 nights a week, and being gone for supper, he is starting to eat more things, because his dad makes him try them. It is not that they don't like them it is just lack of trying! For awhile we thought my youngest was a vegetarian, as he wouldn't eat meat, but he is now so that is good. I do make a few exceptions - like when we are having tuna sandwhiches I will make some cheese ones as well. Things like that. There is usually something on the table everyone likes, and when they don't eat a whole lot of supper, I like to give them a bowl of cereal or something before bed!

Hopefully the relationship with the mom is good, and she understands why they might be hungry - it isnt' because you didn't feed them, it is just that they didn't like it! It is hard raising someone's else's children I am sure there will be lots of bumps down the road! Just hearing some of them from my friend, eveyone does things so differently and sometimes it is hard to adjust and change.

Anyhow, time to go to work! LOL have a good night everyone!
