You need good credit just to rent an apartment

I don't think any of we tenants who are grandfathered in could meet the stringent credit needed from new tenants.

Wonder what the outcome will be?

Every last person  was presented as blindly hateful. I hope most, if not all of them walk away at least having strong feelings about a person's behavior rather than being so negative about people who might  have other traits they could learn from. Or at least respect their right to the most happy productive life possible.

Information to Many

It's likely this show will educate many on just another scam method to watch out for.

And it'll probably serve as useful information as to what services Dr. Phil does and does not offer at this time. ;-)

Should inform many

No matter how savvy you are, there's always a new method to catch you off guard. Whether it's a phone call, phishing email, or a letter, this should help people to think about whether or not they should check something a little closer before handing out personal info.

And it should help interested parties know what services Dr. Phil and Robin do and do not offer at this time! :-)

This show should be informative, but I thought I was posting to another topic. So, just forget the last part!

What is a chester?

Quote From: un4gottin

Dr Phil,

I'm gonna be real freakin frank, and to the point.I could.t watch this show I get so freaking sick when it comes to this issue.I swore i would never let what happened to me happen to my children. And guess what it did.So just am so freaking pissed off! Let's just put it out there. Me and my husband seperated for a year(he needed a break lol what a laugh)I trusted his family to watch my kids while  i worked nights. But during the summer my 8 year old(who has bipolar)stay with his adopted grandmother(long story)Who i thought was taking care my children. And she was helping me with his temper. So i let him stay then when school was out i brought my other 2 kids too. We'll my 8 year old comes out and tells her. That my husband so-called handicapped 20 something brother had been touching him.She told my son if he told he would go to foster care. That set me off!she expected me to leave it alone. She said he would get therapy..Yeah freaking right! This woman tells her sons she'll blow the freaking heads off.She sits around collecting children and checks.I that really made me angry because i trusted this psycho woman.I went and reported it like im supposed to.But guess what..the dame cops didnt want to deal with i)Then somebody went and told what the saw.And the person that reported was told quote on quote(from the detective)You can't go by what others have told you.the person who reported felt like this grandmother gets away with everything.there are 2 more minor children in the home still. She didn't let them know there was an investigation going on.Bascially the man got away with it.The social worker asked him in front of the grandmother. He admitted it to me.But im just the mother right. Now I have to deal with the fact that one day my 6 year old son will come and tell something. So trust not justice system. No social services...Just myself. This woman has no right having children in her home. She is dangerous i took me years to finally see it.She munipulates everyone.even at one time had me.Something I think child molesters should be strung up by there balls.Thats what i call justice..because thats what this man on youre show is a chester.

Did you mean "cheater" or something else?

My mom wants Dr. Phil's help

My mom is almost 80 and doesn't have a computer, so she had me email Dr. Phil about getting help from a situation she is in. She wants my sister to move out and get help. I gave my email address (made it clear it was mine) and her phone number. Do you know what an appropriate waiting period is? She really likes Dr. Phil, and wants help.

Toxic means poison

Basically, toxic means poison. It means that you are a negative rather than a positive in their lives. It does NOT mean you are a bad person. It means that they feel more of a loss than a gain by having you in their lives.

But remember, once it goes in the trash our beloved computers are toxic!

All in all, most people mean that you are not worth taking up space in their lives. I was on another chat board earlier today, and the topic was toxic friends. Someone asked for a definition. I don't think anyone on this board has met anyone else, but it quickly became apparent that the people who chat with each other for an hour a day are lonely people. Some are bitter, some are choosy, some prefer solitiude, some want friends, reall friends so badly.

It went from lighthearted fun to serious very quickly. So now, I'm in a contemplative mood, wondering if this a representative slice of the audience (it's an upbeat show) or maybe there's a full moon.

Penny Lady

If your friend is using drugs, drama and paranoid thoughts are very typical. If you can, go to a few Alanon and/or NarAnon meetings to help you deal with it. There might be some types who want to pick you apart, steer clear of them, and take the good advice that is also there.

I'm hopeful your friend/neighbor will get help before she goes through much more pain and anguish.

Best wishes.

Work at Home and follow up needed

Wow, I agree a lot of the how to apply for a job info was certainly not up to today's standards. It's a rare position where you can physically walk into a building and apply. My husband is blue collar and has often talked and established a rapport with a future supervisor. He has literally thousands of resumes/applications submitted and is not even getting the "thanks but you're overqualified response, let alone an interview. Even in his partying days, he had plenty of interviews.

Some of  his 12 step friends wonder how he stays sober.

He has even applied for CDL Class A truck driving jobs that are offering $8.50 an hour. That is less than $1,000 a month IF he gets 40 hours. Could anyone live off of $1.000 a month? Independently, without a roommate and/or support?

Lastly, this show begs for a follow up.
