Trying to Quit Smoking?

Quote From: elle474

I so would love a buddy to quit with.  I want to quit so bad, but because of other health problems (I have graves disease) I cannot take the inhaler, the welbutrin, the patches, I have to do it cold turkey.  I am trying to be so positive, but the odds are stacked against me.  I am a very strong person, with the stubborness of a mule, and I think if I could just talk to someone about it, I would be much better.

If you would like to enter into this with me, contact me.

thanks

We are all here to help, if we can. Just post often. Good luck Gina

Trying to Quit Smoking?

Quote From: linda12k

Hi Everyone!

I guess everyone is really busy shopping and decorating for the holidays. It can be a wonderful time and it can be not so wonderful too.  With everything taking place, for all that are trying to quit, hold on, just take a few more deep breaths when you have that urge!!!! For the rest that are contemplating quitting, when you pick a quit date, let it be just that a quit date. Not a date like, January 1, too much emphasis  put on that date. Just a day when you feel you are prepared to get a hold of the addiction.  My day was March 30, nothing sufficient about that day, other than it is MY Quit day.

Touch base with whoever needs assurance in taking that step.

Hi Linda and everyone else, I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I have been very busy, with the holidays. Decorateing for the girls, no tree yet. I probably will get it around the 15th, then out it goes on the 26th. Between the cat, dog, and the girls, I am sure by then I will be quite tired of picking up the ornaments they all knock off the tree. Is everyone getting ready for Christmas?? Sometimes I wish they would ban it, it is so much work. Well, I am going to get going, keep in touch everyone.
