I think those of us who have a lot to loose are more vulnerable to that... because it takes longer to drop all the weight... and LIFE intervenes !!!! and keeps doing that...
That's where we go "South" and have to find our way back over and over... and many of us don't.
I kept tripping over this and seeing others do this... I found it very dissapointing... and had wondered and discussed what could be done about that... if there was a solution short of being "locked up" to solve this... for myself and others...
then last January I ran into an old idea clothed in new words... several of us ran into it at about the same time... partly because of Flylady's book Body Clutter... it described building new routines... eating routines... exercising routines... grocery shopping routines.... and redoing LIFE around them... and it worked... I got it.. finally... LIFESTYLE... I didn't have lifestyle... it's LIFESTYLE that sustains when the world goes tilt... I finally don't have to think about eating right... it's now coming naturally...
I added One healthy behavior at a time.. I auditioned them, I practiced them../ I advertised them... I almost took out an ad in the paper announcing each one... EVERYBODY knows my routines now... if I slip..everyone around me knows and reminds me...
and instead of tying me down... I"m free to pay attention to all the other much more interesting things in life.... and healthy just happens... I"m normal again.... no, I'm not thin yet... but it's happening... breakfast of nuts, lunch at 11, supper at 4... 8 hours of sleep... groceries on Thursday... water aerobics... sugar is gone, bread is gone... fat is going.... breathing is back...feeling rested is back... comfortable is here...

I'm having a health issue which I will have to have surgery.
