11/01 Is This Normal?

I understand that people have there beliefs and that there is no changing them.  I have no problem with the holidays or holy days,  My hubby is a christan and has he's beliefs and I have mine I am not going to but a name down for them because well I don't have one.  I am looking, but if i go with my heart and what I know now (yes I have lots more to learn) it would be pagan and you know what gets me is that my hubby and are able to live our lives with our beliefs and raise our children,  my son is a christan and goes to church, I do not.  I think that there should be a balance for ones beliefs and how they are with there children, if the only reason she doesn't want to celabarite them is because they are pagan, cel. the killing of native americans, of cel. sex then i think she should make sure see has the whole pic.

As for her family well I think they should not give her so much grive and give her a chance to give her reasons for her beliefs.  But that is my thought.  But I don't think that pagan is evil if nothing I think that it is a beautiful belief.

Kind of topic

But you know all of this talk about paganism and peoples belief is well that has be going on for years and what I don't get is that we live in a country where we have this freedom of religion but yet there are a few of us that are not a load with out looking like freaks to come out with our religion.  MY hubby is in the army and overseas right now I look at things like this and think man this is what he is putting his life on the line for.  I think that as a group people need to remember that we are lucky to have this freedom but why is it when it is not mainstreem that It is wronge or evil.  I really bugs me I am a very open minded person and think that everyone had the right to there beliefs.  I mean there are people out there fighting for us so that we can have these freedoms.

Just a thought and something that has been on my mind for awhile.

Debating Among Different Religious Beliefs

"I know that they haven't really proved with science but if everything was proved with science then there would be no magic in the world nothing for us to think about. "

I don't need magic in order to have something to think about...LOL I have ZERO belief in supernatural, magic or anything like that and I have plenty to think about.

Ok I understand that and I am sorry if I offened you I didn't mean too.  But i just never thought of not having anything to beieve in... but that again is something to think about too

Debating Among Different Religious Beliefs

Can we all agree that life is too short and we all should live it to the fullest and the happiest no matter what we believe and that we need to be true to ourselves and our faith what ever that might be.

Debating Among Different Religious Beliefs

Quote From: faeryedark

Thought i'd jump in hope you don't mind!  I'm a Christian(used to be pagan) and my Best Friend is still pagan. She's engaged to a Christian and planning their (very unique wedding). She has two children 16 and 11 The oldest boy is Mormon (like his dad) and her youngest boy accepted Christ at her fiance's church last summer. I would say the fiance's a Christian. It was his personal commitment to Christ (for him)

As to is anything wrong w/ your family- are you happy? Are your religious differences causing problems?  There is a warning against being unequally yoked in the Bible(and some feel this refers to religion) but things happen make the best of it. If you're happy great!

We are happy and my hubby and I debat our differenves all of the time.  But we are so happy I use to go to church with him and support his faith but when he saw I wasn't happy he said to stay home and believe in my faith.  He still goes and believes what he believes and I believe what I believe.  we are very happy

Debating Among Different Religious Beliefs

Quote From: kbyers2005

woo!  I am so sorry for anybody who deals with this level of emotionalism.  I used to be bi-polar and took many MANY things as a personal attack.  And used to tell people they had NO RIGHT to tell me I am wrong.  But the beauty is, they do have that right.  When our emotions control our words and our attitude towards others when we are merely tired, this shows where we are in our spiritual/emotional development.  I'm sorry that your husband is overseas because it obviously affects you greatly, but I am also thankful that he is, because due to his willingness we all have the right to freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and freedom of religion.  And you have the right to say "YOU HAVE NO RIGHT" to anybody that you want about anything that you want (whether it is true, or not).  This is the beauty of living in America as an American.

There are some at this group who are far too "head" strong and emotional for me (been there, done that - BAD combo)  -it's that unequally yoked theory  So, farewell.

May all of you be blessed with peace, patience, love, strength, courage and wisdom.

Shalom.

Ok I have a question what is wronge with emotion???  I am not bi-polar, I am though a mother of a 5 year old and 1 year old, who has to run everything while my hubby is fighting overseas and dreeding that knock one my board.  I took it as a personal attack at frist but then relize she just answered my question that I had asked and didn't think before I wrote my reply, once I did I told her i was sorry and that it was because I was tired.  I happen to be a very emotional person who something not only has to hold my family together but that of my whole family this is not an excuse to get pissy as I had but it but it is a fact in my life.  But what I don't get is how can you say that I am bipolar because I got emotional??   You are right I have no right to say that anyone has no right to anyone else.  But how come it is alright for them to say that my faith is wronge and that theres is the only one.  and the bible is the only book to live by.  I am glad that I have my emotions because I would feel like I lived in a bubble other wize.

you are entitled to your thoughts and emotions as i am. please don't say that you are sorry for me because I can be emotional.  I am glad that you feel you are over your bi-polar even though everything that i have learn and my sister in law has learned (she has it and deals with it everyday her hubby is over seas and it falls on me to check on her and make sure she is ok along with my other sister in law) that there is terments and no cure. But gald that you found your cure.
