Today I was up at 5am and did the papers. When I came home the kids were still sleeping and dh was off to work. I decided to let my 4 year and 11 year old keep sleeping so I could have some alone time. That was a mistake because my 4 year old(who I need to take with me) didn't wake until 9am and I was so lazy and tired by then I didn't want to go and it was already 38degrees outside and the sun was beaming. So I thought of Sheree and how I was trying to encourage her. I didn't want to be a hiprocrite and I thought I would let her down by not going so I went. I had to push myself through every min. and I also have 40lbs. of resistance(my dd) on the back of the bike. We went through any sprinkler we could find and I biked very fast and hard in order to feel some breeze on my face. Tomorrow this will not be happening. The traffic was also worse at this time. Tomorrow I want to avoid taking my dd, so dh leaves at 5:30 and I will be up at 4am. I will bike for one hour, then papers. I can't wait for Friday and Sat. because dh is off which means I can get up at 6am and not feel rushed. The day will be mine. 

Melody-I also thought of you and how you manage to do it with a little baby and after I told everyone that we had to stop making excuses, I wasn't going to start it up again. I feel so good that I went. I went for 45min. and I plan to make up for that 15min. I missed. I'll go again at 8pm. Dh will be home and I can have alone time. Who knows maybe I'll do another hour then. Sometimes I take a dip in our kiddie pool first, then I leave. I should have done that this morning.  

The good thing about this heat is I don't have much of an appetite. I love that! In the winter I crave more comfort foods. Not this winter though, right ladies?

I was very tired this A.M., but I told myself if I started and still wanted to quit after 10 min then I would go back to bed.  So I started and 5 min into it I was in the zone.  Plus I thought of you and I didn't want to come on and make excuses.  Thank you. 

                        

Way to go on pushing yourself.  I hate the heat, hard to have energy in it.  i workout in my basement, sometimes it is actually cold down there.  Talk to you later.

I also did an extra abs tape an hour ago because I was craving peanut butter(the evil stuff). I made it through and got closer to my six pack......lol

Yep, I was up at 4:30am with June.  Fed her and headed downstairs.  I leave my workout clothes right beside the bed and when I hear her waking I get up and put them on, feed her, put her back in her cradle, she falls right back to sleep and I know I have the time then because she usually sleeps about 2 hours, somtimes 3.  She isn't as scheduled with her day time naps.  I have tried sleeping longer and working out later, but my workouts get cut short. 

                                        

Your picture looks great.  I like the idea of us updating pictures too.  I guess my picture should be up dated, since I was 190lbs in it and I am heavier now.  Maybe I will get your help on that.  Talk to you later.

Good day!!!!

Well I had a good day.  Going to some more treadmill while I watch TV.   

                         

S-baked potato w/LFsour cream, extra lean burger w/wh wh bun, LG salad 

                                

For dessert I had a sm slice of rice krispie square.  That is why I am going to go treadmill.  Then I won't feel so guilty.  Talk to you later.

Finally got a visit to the gym in but it was rushed thanx to my late DH and I had to skip a few recovery boards and that's not supposed to happen. Then my tan was 15 min instead of 20 min. long. I am pretty angry. My Dh walked in late then after I had washed dishes and cooked and cleaned up after 5 kids and myself all day he had the nerve to say i wasn't allowed to leave to the gym untill I finished up all the dishes. I even baked for HIM today. Grrr. I hate him so much right now. I wish that there was a way for a Mom to take a strike. That is impossible though I know. I am so frustrated. Maybe after a long silent treatment I'll kidnap Jayden and go for a long long stroll just with her tonight to blow off some steam. I will contemplate quitting smoking while I walk too. i hate what I am doing to myself with the smoking habit. Must quit, Ang. Must quit! Thanks for letting me vent a bit.

Well good job on working out and not pigging out.  Sometimes hubbies can be the biggest sabotogers.  Well I am going to work off a bit more of these hips, so talk to you later.

The Square!!!!

Melody- You know that I won't make excuses for you and that rice krispie square. I don't know how you manage to eat just a small piece. You are better than I. I have to keep my environment squeaky clean, unless it's something I hate like dill pickle chips. I'd have to be starving. So I think you did a great thing by getting on the treamill. This is what I used to do when I first bought my treadmill. I told myself that if I ate any junk then I would have to go on the treadmill for 1 hour. The problem was I never stayed commited to what I told myself.  

Tomorrow the girls and I are going to bike to a local farm to buy some corn. We are in the city, but there's a farm about 3 miles away. Great bike ride! The weather is much cooler here tonight.  

melody, what led to the square? Did you make them today?

Well nothing really led to the square.  I had told the girls that I would make them for them for a while now.  My mom and sister phoned and said they were coming for supper so I thought I would make something that wasn't to fattening and something that I knew I won't eat alot of.  I am not really a marshmallow kind of gal, I prefer chocolate or ice cream,soooooo, I knew I would be safe. 

                                      

I actually didn't end up on the treadmill, I did the bike for 35 min and burned 300 calories then I did my thigh master, I do 100 squeezes a few times a day.  So I don't feel bad now.  I feel great and I am off to bed so I can get up to burn more of this butt off....lol 

                                                

Mmmmm corn.  I love corn on the cob, can't wait till ours is ready.  Probably a week or two after I will be sick of it like every other year.  When you grow it you eat so much that you don't wanna see another cob come winter.

Angela- Andrea was on for a bit but hasn't been back for a while.  She was pretty busy with her jobs.  Your new outfit sounds nice and it is a great idea for a reward.  I bought myself some new runners tonight.  There was a good sale on and I really needed some.  I've had my others for 5 years probably.  I was thinking that when I get to my goal (155) I might go to one of those specialty stores and get a proper bra.  I don't want to do it until I get to my goal though.  I could use some nice workout clothes too.  Maybe our next challenge!!  I agree that we should be able to go on strike.  I have done it for a couple of days and he usually gets better but it never seems to last very long.  DH is pretty good, sometimes, but its just not clean the way I would do it.  So maybe that is my problem.  When I was in Montreal for a week, dh said that he really appreciated what I went through.  Especially in the mornings before school and when I had to get to work.  Aren't the little faces we can use cute.  I also like now that when you reply to a message it puts that message with all the new ones.  It didn't do that before did it.  So sometimes I would miss replies to my messages. 

  

Deb-I guess you are probably already gone for your holiday but we also when to the science center in calgary which is pretty cool. 

  

Confession time.  I went out with a couple of girls tonight for appetizers.  I was laying in bed lastnight wondering what I would get, because I didn't want to screw up.  I ended up ordering chicken fingers and caesar salad.  6 chicken fingers came and I ate 3 (very little dip) and dressing was on the side (very little again) and I didn't eat the parmesan cheese or the croutons.  Then the girls ordered dessert to share and I didn't have one little taste.  I wasn't even tempted.  I was still a little hungry so I could have eaten all the fingers but I boxed up the rest.  Compared to what I would have usually eaten there, I did damn good!! lol 

  

Well if I am getting up early, I had better hit the sack.  Till tomorrow...Sheree 

Confession time?  Why?  You did great.  You planned what you wanted, you didn't eat it all and you had the dressing on the side, that is great.  I know how good that is because I know there was a time when I would have gotten the parmesan cheese and the croutons and probably asked for extra dip for the chicken, and lets not even talk about dessert.  I never used to share.....lol.  Well I think you did great.

Sheree- I'm so glad to hear how you felt. I just knew you would. I also know that proud feeling of when you tell someone what you did and your proud of it. If you can keep this up, I truly believe that after a while you will eat better and better. Your body just wants better foods when you are exercising. So you know me,lol I'm not gonna tell ya what you ate is gonna help you get to your goal, but by changing your lifestyle with the biking, YOU WILL GET THERE!  

Tracy-What's going on with you? I'm not seeing you here as much. Everything alright? 

Melody- Great workout last night. I've always thought about using the thigh master. Does it work? THe inside of my thighs are screaming, HELP ME, I'm smothering! I have very strong leg muscles, but giggly wiggly inner thigh flub.  

My name- When I first came to the Ontario board back in Nov. there was another Sherri there so I used both my names Sherrilynn. There are no Sherri's there or here now, so I shall simplify my name again to Sherri. Yes, I'm too lazy to to typr the extra 4 letters everytime,lol 

I don't know why, but I can only get my photo to upload in the morning. I tried several times yesterday and nothing. This morning, first shot.  

Thankyou to Angela again! I hope you have worked things out enough that you are able to keep focus. We all can relate to your post. My dh is great, but I was with a man for 5 years (my 11 year olds dad) and I really can't believe how I let myself be treated. It a way it's good though because I now appreciate how wonderful my dh is. He really knows how to treat a woman. I think some men need to take a class in woman 101,lol. How are feeling today Angela?  

How long do you think it would take me to bike to Manitoba,lol?? I think I'll check map quest. We could all meet up at the spa.

Yes it does work.  I notice a big difference when I use it.  You can feel the burn right away.  I try to 300 a day.  You can do 100 during a set of commercials.

Great Jog!

I jogged for 10 minutes this morning and walked at a fast pace for 20 more.  I burned 400 calories.  Did my abs and 100 TM. 

                       

B-2 veggie breakfast sausages, onion, red pepper, and garlic 2egg white omelet, all  

   bran w/skim milk and one 1/2 slice toast w/ jam 

                                    

Drank 5 glasses of water.  I am feeling so great guys.  I know I wasn't supposed to, but I had to check.  I stepped on the scale this morning and I was so happy.  I can't tell till Monday, but WOOOOOO WHOOOOOO MELODY!!!!!!
