The US government makes a lot of money from the taxes on alcohol, and yet spends even more to prohibit drugs. In my mind, both are mind altering substances, and equally devastating to humans. I believe that we should legalize drugs- all of them- and tax them like cigarettes and alcohol. The war on drugs has been lost. Prohibition failed. Just legalize them, take the glamour and illegal profits out of the system and use the tax money to bury the people who drink and drug themselves to death. It would put the dealers out of business, cause if you can buy it at the liquor store, why buy it on the street. It would stop the drug trafficking beacuse if it were legal, 10 year old kids would not be used as mules. Users are going to use, whether its legal or illegal, fines and jail time mean nothing. The only people it would harm are the drug cartels in Nicaragua  and the only income it would damage would be the local dealers.  Lets call the war on drugs as a loss, pack our bags and go home.... 

BTW, I don't smoke, drug, drink- I don't pay any of those taxes. But I do drive on the roads that the tax money would be able to improve!  And I do respect the police who would be able to do their jobs without collecting small time dealers to put through the revolving doors of justice.  

I have a small home party company that sells adult sex toys. Our policy is that no person under the age of 18 is allowed to be in the home (not upstairs, not in their room- not in the home period) while the party is going on. NO ONE UNDER 18. No infants, no 16 year olds, no kids hanging out in their room NO ONE UNDER 18! This is printed on all of our invitations, and all of our consultants know that this is the rule. If I find out that one of our consultants has demonstrated at a party with minors in the home, they WILL lose their paycheck, and job.  We carry all of the toys and lotions you can imagine, and many that you can't but we do not allow minors anywhere near any of our business.  I don't even open the delivery boxes until my children are asleep in their own rooms- at that point, I divide the orders and pack the shipping boxes.

I will teach my children about sex, but I do not think I will be as assertive in my views as the woman on your show. At 3 and 5, they know the names of their private parts, and that they are private.

It may be easy for you to lose weight, but its not easy for everyone. Unlike an alcolhol or drug addiction, a food addiction has to be dealt with in moderation- not complete cessation. It would be like a herion addict just having a little bit to get them through the day- when you are addicted to food, you STILL have to eat to live. If you are addicted to alcohol or drugs, you can remove yourself from situations that make it hard for you to keep clean- but try walking down any street in America and NOT finding a diner, Mc D's, BK, Dunkin D's, Starbucks.....

-Add onto that the fact that cheap food is starchy food- Veggies in America are more expensive than pasta, and cheap cuts of meat are fatty-

-Add onto that the fact that medical conditions and medications pack on the tonage- try having your thyroid out and wow that weight shows up fast!!

-Add onto that stress, insomnia, frustration---------

I agree, inevitably it is up to the individual to conquer this addiciton- but lets not criticize the only group in America who still allows themselves to be criticized without complaining about it and getting action! (Do you think Imus would be out of a job if he said something about fat girls who answered the telephone for minimum wage? Nope!)
