Please..

I am really becoming disenchanted with the Dr. Phil show this season.

This sensationalist garbage needs to stop or you are going to lose a long time viewer.

I don't care about OJ Simpson. Never have.

I am probably one of the few people in the world who DID NOT watch his car chase, his trial, or this trial...

Time is the most precous thing we have in this world. Stop wasting mine.

Get a grip

OK, I am really getting tired of the MMO bashing. For you that don't know...that's MMORPG..Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game.

I am almost 47. My husband is 25. We met and married in Everquest. We then met and married IRL over 4 years ago.

Sure, if you don't have any discipline it can get out of hand, like eating, drug abuse, or anything else...collecting things...I am sure if it exists there is someone out there addicted to it.

When I asked God to put someone in my life, I told him the only stipulation was THEY HAD TO PLAY THE GAME. We both still play the game, and we are very happy together.

I have heard the story about the guy who shot himself, and his mother found him with a room full of pizza boxes and an EQ loading screen...that guy's issues had nothing to do with Everquest.

He had a garbage life and used EQ to run away...not the fault of the game..

There is a guy who plays WOW who has 36 accounts....so he can raid and play by himself, and does not have to socialize.. There is a thread on the bulletin board to the server I am on currently discussing whether or not he is the worlds biggest loser...serious gamers...calling this guy a loser...to each his own I say.

The woman you mentioned...Wendy...is the smart one. Any man who plays an MMO who does not have 2 computers and an extra account for their love interest is looking for trouble.

Yes, when I log in I am going to be in for a minimum of 6 hours, and I usually do 12, but I can be in the game, and my husband come home from work...nothing be done, supper not on yet, and I can look at him and say Baby! I leveled!...And he will say..YAY!!!!..Then he will shower, I will cook, we eat, and he goes and logs into his account. We play together a lot.

If your life is not compatible with the game you are playing, get another game. If your game is not compatible with your relationship, get your SO an account.

Either way, get responsible for your own life, and quit blaming the game.

Why do you care?

What in the world are you doing basing your happiness, and the ability to find it and live it on what other people think?

Do these people pay your bills?

Some out there waste half their lives worrying about 'what will 'they' think' that they never do anything they want.

I am 47, my husband 25...we have been happily married for 4 years.

I have 2 children older than my husband, and a son that is younger.

What did I say to them? I am happy and I am getting married. Like him, don't like him as you chose.

I only demand you respect him in his house....My youngest..my son...was his best man at the wedding..my kids LOVE my husband.

My best friends loves him...(She introduced us)..as do all the others...would it matter if they didn't? NO.

I do not support him. I do not work, he does.

We take care of each other....

Find someone who wants to walk through the trials of life with you...age is irrelevant.

Update for you

Quote From: seenfff

MMORPG's are games based on the community although some games may relay less on the community, but Everquest Online Adventures does not have Mercenary NPC's that a player could pay to group with. The closest thing is if your character has a pet like Necromancer, Magician, Wizard, Enchanter, or a certain leveled Druird or a level 51 Bard with 75 cms for Entrancing Song.

Every aspect of an MMORPG requires leveling beyond chatting like in a chat room; in fact, a MMORPG is essentially a video game with a very elaborate chatroom. This creates competition like any other online game like Socom, Halo, Madden, Racing games, or other.

Without the community, the game would not be fun at all; in fact, I forget the name of it. It'd be as pointless as that shooter game where you just run around shooting things that couldn't shoot back. I think that was called "Shooter". Pretty pointless game if you ask me. I prefer games with challenges, situations that require thought or some sense of reflex, and strategy. Those are games more my forte.

Such as I play Diplomacy. Diplomacy is a board game that requires all 7 players write down their orders for each unit and turn in to a GM or take turns reading off their orders, and the moves are all simutanisly adjusted. Such as, I couldn't end the move in Berlin if another unit or player's unit moved there. Because of this rule, Diplomacy is playable by mail, e-mail, or face to face.

MMORPG's would be less destructive if the designers opted for difficulty over mindless time sinks or drop sinks.

I do agree with you that the players are real people. True, a player could be someone else entirely, but as a veteran MMORPG player. Those people are often exposed fairly rapidly because they can't keep their lie straight, and people role playing their character is uncommon. Thrall did rather with the RPG aspected although I agree; this place is the inappropiate place to role play their character.

Actually, the new expansion released on Oct 21st gave us Mercs in EQ.
