By now I am sure that you all are aware that there was a serious accident with an Air France plane at Pearson airport in Toronto this afternoon. I was listening to all the reports on the radio at work and then came home and was wtching it all on TV. It is just amazing that everyone managed to get off the plane safely. 309 passengers and crew and only about a dozen MINOR injuries. I am so thankful that all those people survived. How precious life is.

Love ya all.  Marion/BC

Hi there.....I have put in a request for help with your problem to the moderator. Also said that I think Mayzak is having the same problem.

Hope they solve it soon. Off to work now.  Have a good day.

I emptied my "temp" and "history" and rebooted, and Voila you fixed my problem...I am elated, thanks sweetie...I did reboot yesterday, just never thought of the cleaning out the temp and history files....you made my day..I will pass this on to the others too,....again thanks...Hugs,Karen

So glad you have been able to get back on here.  So far I have not had this problem, but then I always  delete my cookies and my temporary files on a regular basis.......probably at least once a week or so.  Not sure why I do this, it is just something I have always done. I guess I accidentally did something right for a change.....smiling.

Welcome back Sharon. We have missed you. I am so sorry to hear about your Dad, but happy that you were able to go back and spend time with him at the end. Now you know that he no longer suffers. May God be with you and your family at this time.

Love ya.  Marion/BC

Carol

Welcome back Carol.  We have all gone through trying times with the new board, some more trying than others. But we persevered and here we are ..... all together again.  We are still waiting for some stragglers to show up and hopefully they will eventually come back. We miss them all.

When you go to your profile, it may help you if you scroll to the bottom of the screen and where it  says MESSAGE ORDER,  set it at OLDER......... then when you return to the board, it will return the same as it did on the old board.  And where it says FONT SIZE, set it at LARGE.....This will make the posts much easier to read. In order for it to show up LARGER though, you must log in when you come to the site....otherwise it will still show as small.

When I leave the boards, I put the last page in FAVORITES at the top of the screen by File  Edit View Favorites. Then when you want to come back, just open your internet, click on Favorites and select the Dr. Phil board that you want to go to.  I have both the Over 50 WLC Community board and the Maximizing Weight Loss board in Favorites and with just one click it takes me right to the screen I want.

Good Luck my friend.

Love ya.  Marion/BC

Well, it is so nice to see some old familiar faces returning to the boards. It is starting to feel a bit more like home. ROSE, you are having a busy summer. SHARON#2, I can see that all the support that you have been getting from the ladies here has been helping you. It shows in every new post that you send. Keep it up girlfriend. POOZ, you just keep running around that golf course....good IE.

KAREN, I hope your solution to cutting back the number of hours you work will work for you. VICKIE, I ducked over and read your Thursday discussion....some good stuff there. ALICE, I envy you having your own pool. I can't really swim, but I do flounder quite well....but I have not been in the water for years. When I retire, I am going to start going to water exercises at a pool. SUZIE, I am sure you will have the flight attendants in stitches.....oh, the stories you will have to tell.

I hope everyone is having a good weekend and preparing for a good week to come. This hot weather that we have been having is really getting to me. My feet and legs are really swelling right up to the knees.  Spend a lot of time in the recliner with my legs raised to try and keep the swelling down. Such is life, eh!.  Went to visit my mom today. She seems to be doing okay again. She is starting to walk a bit again, so that is good. Now if she could just get her daughter to do some more walking, we would have it made.....LOL.

Love ya all.  Marion/BC

Well, Sunday is almost over and another week is before us.  My weekend has been quite uneventful.  Today, Jim and I went up to the nursing home to see my mom. We took a picnic lunch with us and took mom out to the courtyard for lunch. It was such a beautiful day out and she really enjoyed it. I must do that more often for her.

I don't know if I will get on the board tomorrow or not.  It just happens to be our 35th anniversary and that being the case, we may just decide to go out for a nice dinner.

I hope everyone is off to a good start with their WLC week.  Love ya all.  Marion/BC

Hey there g/f, sorry you're suffering with those swelling feet and legs, good that you are keeping them raised when you can...My Dr put me on a water pill which seemed to help that problem some with me...mind you with all the standing I do at work now by the time I get home my legs too are swollen twice the size...not great for the ego, especially since my legs are the smallest part of this old bod..tee hee...

Good to hear your mom is up an about again, she has really been through it too eh? I know you too will start little jaunts soon, as it will make you feel so much better as well....smiling...Like mother like daughter...winking...

Is the pool quite a ways away for you to go to? Just wondering why you are waiting until you retire,as it would be so refreshing and cool if you could go now...hint hint...lol...Listen to me, who has yet to get another bathing suit, and I have a pool right here at home...tisk tisk...I will get it soon...ha ha ...Since I gained back some weight I'm a little hesitant in getting into one again, BUT I WILL...

When do the cranberries start harvesting? I remember last year you mentioned you get them and make sauce...I remember the sound of the "guns" or what ever it was that would be used to scare off the birds...would drive me crazy if I had to listen to that all the time...tee hee...It was interesting though how they harvest them by flooding...

Have an enjoyable relaxing Sunday sweetie, and know I'm thinking of you ....

Hugs and love,

Karen

KAREN: I am on a water pill already, but I don't know that it is really doing much for me.....of course the swelling may be worse if I wasn't taking it too.  The swimming pool is only about 2 miles from home. Distance is not the problem.....I just can't bring myself to go to the pool in the evenings when it is really busy with a lot of people there......Maybe when I lose 100 lbs I may get up enough nerve to go public.  I figure when I retire I will go in the morning when there are less people around.  I know that is not Right Thinking, but I don't seem to be able to get over this hurdle. I have a bathing suit in my dresser drawer that still has the tags on it....never been worn.  I don't even know if it will fit me now or not. Some day I will try it on.  Cranberry season is just before Thanksgiving. I will have to go out and buy another 60 lbs or so and freeze them this year.  I have run out of frozen berries now so if I want sauce now, I will have to go and buy some. We are not close enough to the farms to hear the guns going off, but I imagine it would be a bit un-nerving.

Cindy

Hi Cindy. I am not blonde, but I am having a hard time trying to remember you. I know the name is familiar but that is all.  I was not on the boards much for a couple months while I was working afternoon shift, so I sort of lost touch.  Same thing happened with Sharon#2....had to ask her to refresh my memory.  Of course as soon as she told me she was the lady that goes out and runs over kangaroos, I remembered who she was.  Do you have any memorable traits like that?  You may not remember me either..........my most memorable trait is my forgetfulness. I am another one of those Canucks from  BC.  Anyway, I am glad to see you posting and I will eventually get to remember who you are.  Love ya anyway...Marion/BC

Phew, what an anniversary I had.  I was working in a sweat shop all day. The air conditioner broke down at work and the temperature climbed up to 30 degrees Celsius.............Thats over 90 degrees F. for some of you.  Sure hope the repair people get out to fix it tomorrow.....I guess it is their busy time of year and we just have to wait our turn.

Jim and I went out for dinner tonight...to MILESTONES.  I had a sirloin steak and veggies.....no potatoes, I asked for extra veggies instead.  Also had portebello mushrooms.  We had gelato for desert.  Really enjoyed it all......AND THE RESTAURANT WAS AIR CONDITIONED.  I didn't want to leave and go back out in the heat again....smiling.   Now it is time to get back on track again....actually it is a way past time.  Tomorrow is Day 1.

Everybody have a good week.   Love ya.  Marion/BC
