I enjoyed your show alot.It gave me a chance to see the shows that I missed.I enjoyed the one that the woman's husbant would not say that he loved her.I have been married for 3 years this month and my husbant probley only told me that he loves me a half dozen time. So I no what that woman felt like.
Thank you very much for showing this part of the show again. It has helped me alot.

Congatulations Dr. Phil! I love your show, I've been a faithfull watcher since the birth of my daughter on Jan. 9 of this year. I've recorded many of your shows on parenting issues to share with my fiance in the evening. You give excellent advice and I'm sure it helps others feel like they're not alone. Thanks, Dr. Phil for being so straight forward and to the point. America appriciates your healthy honesty.

GOD be with you and you should publish a book about all of your father's sayings...they are so wise!

Hi
My one and a half year old son and I love your show. I just loved the clips of the children watching your show. It made me wish I had sent a tape in of my boy watching you. When he sees your picture at the grocery store or on a bilboard he goes nuts!! Even when he was a tiny baby the sound of your voice calmed him. I also have my husband hooked on your show. Because of you he has lost 40 pounds. He said it was something that you had said on a previous show. He loves your "tell it like it is" style. Thank you for everything and continue giving great advice.

Dear Dr Phil, I love your shows and keep up the good work. Today I enjoyed seeing the parents of Avery White again from Texas. I worried about that little girl haveing a mother who spanked her with an object dayly because she did "not obey". I am happy to see that she took your advise and she is a better mother. The little girl seems happy and content this time. Rebecca has changed her hair color so she has perhaps also a ligther personality. You have no idea how worried I was about that child. Thank you for putting my mind at ease.

I was so emotionally drained by the original Avery show because my grandson is forced to live his life with that same parental control-nuttiness. He has cried for me to help him with his circumstance for four years, but I haven't been able to convince my son and his ex-wife that they don't have to be the "perfectionist parents" that Avery's dad spoke of today. It gave me a glimpse of hope today that Rebecca "got it". This is the only topic on which I have written to Dr. Phil and posted a message because I so passionately want to help those children out of their frustration and pain. I hope your situation has been a help to a world of other parents who need help connecting with their children, including my own son connecting with his son, and hopefully again with me. Keep up the good work, Rebecca!

Hey - he has no failures!!! Only the people that don't try to change and improve are the ones who doesn't achieve - it wouldn't be Dr Phil's failure .... but theirs. Am I Right? I look forward to others answers you receive on this.

And am sure he quit on a thing or two we all do on something the man is not perfect and all do not think his words are wisdom. I agree with you that if those he helps do not try too change are the failures. Heck he is a Proffessional for heaven sakes and if not on TV he could make good bucks helping others.

I assume that the reason people go on the show is to change whatever part of their life they're talking about with Dr Phil and if they fail to make that change it certainly isn't Dr Phils fault. So in that sense he has no failures.
I imagine that what he would consider to be his failures is when he doesn't get thru to the people and convince them of what they need to do to make the changes. One story that comes to mind is Angela, the girl who was living with the abusive boyfriend and her mother who was pretty messed up as well. It's terribly sad but I don't think he reached either one of them, unless their have been changes since the last show I saw about them.
It isn't his fault that they didn't change. It isn't even his fault that he didn't get thru to them, some people just don't get it and there isn't anything he can do about that.

INFALLABLE vs. GIFTED

It's refreshing, rumbebbi, to hear that your boyfriend watches this show with you. KEEP HIM!!! Only if, of course, all of his other qualities are right for you.
I admire Dr. Phil, and glean a lot of info. from his shows to apply to my mental health, or to pass on to someone else...but as with any Psychiatrist, he has his own story.
Some are more gifted than others, and I believe Dr. Phil is an extremely gifted man who was encouraged by someone, somewhere...or A LOT of "someone's", "somewhere's" that caused him to move forward. His part was to take that encouragement and use it, and he has.
I further believe that people who keep themselves open to their opportunities that meet with their talents, are used where needed.
I suppose my main point here was to add to the comments that, of course, noone is perfect...and I think you and your boyfriend know that. Dr. Phil is just a gifted man in this particular area, and has been put in this position for all to retain information in order to apply to our personal lives, or to pass on to others. We all have this ability. If we pursue our opportunities which meet with our gifts, and that particular facet of our life is the only one seen by a person, we too will be viewed by SOMEONE that wonders..."Does that guy (or girl) fail at anything?"

Now, Dr. Phil, we know you say she's not a trophy wife, but she looks so YOUNG! Bless her...can she share with us viewers her secrets?

I agree, Robin always sparkles. Can she tell us older gals how she does it? I like seeing the whole family on the show, but especially your lovely lady. It shows us if she can look that good every day, we can get out of our bathrobes and slippers! She's inspiring. Keep up these great shows. Today's was outstanding.

Hey Dr. Phil, I just wanted to let you know how your one of your teen veiwers feels about your show, I absolutly love it and I loke that you tell the guest what the need to hear but really dont want to hear. I come home from school and watching your show sometimes helps me relax when i've had a stressful day at school, then again sometimes it makes me delay in doing my homework. (That isnt a good thing, I get easily distracted) Anyway I will continue to watch your show cause it is awesome.Continue to make a difference in peoples live, it is an uncommon thing these days. Your Fan, Liz

Today's show was "FANTASTIC" and a great recap of the past year! I see many others like myself enjoy the content and program! You cover so many different subjects and its the best show around ... not like the other talk shows that cover such obsene topics that I personally can't and don't want to relate to. You cover family and it is obvious you are a family man with a beautiful wife and family. I was so impressed the first time you stopped for Robin .. and continue it daily! You two are such an inspiration for others. It was wonderful seeing recaps of your shows and the results obtained with your help! Keep up the good work and know what an motivator you have become for so many of us! I know many don't agree with you and at some point I may be among them ... as we are all human and never agree 100% ... but you are doing GOOD WORKS!!! Thanks from me as you have inspired me more than my own therapist(s) on many things! TY TY TY TY TY

Your show today was great. I watch your show most every day. I have a soon to be 3 year old & a 15 month old who also laugh & dance when you come of TV. I just love your recap shows. I was happy to see your guest, Cathy, had such a pleasant turn around. I was also happy with Avery's parents being so open & willing to try new parenting tactics. There is one past guest that wasn't followed up on & her name is "Angela". I was touched by both of her shows & wondered how she was doing now. A follow-up show on her life would be very nice to see.

If I'm a little off by a few digits referring to the number of Dr. Phil's guest during the show's inaugural year, then too bad. Since I don't work for Statistics Canada, I'm under no obligation to know the precise magnitude of anything except for what I pay in taxes. What I can tell you is that total did not include MYSELF. Still, I may be added to it somewhere down the road but I'm not quite ready to make my shortcomings public just yet. Also, congratulations to Lynda for winning the lucrative Dr. Phil prize package. She isn't a Dr. Phil aficianado by accident. Instead, Dr. Phil has been an inspiration to her as well as the millions & millions of fans around the world. Being from Canada also rocks! Please thank Lynda for giving our country a glowing image. Go HABS Go!
