Julie needs to wake up and get rid of the tap shoes. Her children are suffering because of her stupidity and selfish behavior. I have never seen a mother so self-centered in all my life. I'm a dancer, but I have never let it effect my family or my finances. When the money starts to leave the dancing is gone for awhile. When the money comes back so does the dancing. You don't let it touch the kids.

It is nice to have dreams but 'get real' tapping mom. My word,time to find other things in your life that make you happy instead of spending so much money that your kids shelter is even threatened. Besides, your knees will surely take a BEATING with so much tap, tap, tapping!!!

I don't know if her kids are actually "suffering" as one person here says but Julie surely appears not to care a whit for what Dr Phil had to say. Personally, I'd really like to know what she wanted by being on the show...PR to sell her video? Either way, I wish her the best. Love & peace, Donny

What a flaky mother! She's going to end up dancing out of her car if she doesn't get her act together. This is why kids need TWO parents -- so that perhaps one of them will have the common sense that the other one (in this case, the mother) lacks. Her self-centered focus on her dancing has caused her to lose sight of her primary responsibility, which is being a responsible parent to her children. Spending money on dance lessons and costumes when you can't pay the rent is flat-out irresponsible. She signed a lease contract -- where does she get the idea that she can just ignore it while she blows the money on other things? What happened to the concept of honoring your obligations? And that includes honoring your obligations to your children. They need a stable home more than they need dance lessons.

I agree with all of you! Was anything Dr. Phil saying getting thru to this lady? I was hoping a rock would fall out of the sky and knock some sense into her! JK! It's too bad the kids have to pay for her lack of judgement. It sounds like after 25 years she would realize she is a has been,never was and hang up the tap shoes! By the way where's the Dad?.....I'm not one for message boards but this lady was soooooo irresponsible that I had to join, just to write this hoping she will read it and get a clue!!!!!!

I wonder if Julie, the tapping Mom, is really in such dire straights. Based on her attitude and lack of desire to fix her situation, I wonder if she was on the show to promote her video. Look at the huge audience she reached! I couldn't believe it when she offered Dr. Phil a copy of her video. I found her to be annoying.

I absolutely agree that the only reason she was on the show was for Dr. Phil to promote her video. She will not change. My daughter-in-law and I watched the show and came to the same conclusion. I feel so sorry for the kids. :(

There is nothing wrong with hopes and dreams, but you need to know the difference between fantasy and reality... and LADY the reality is you're BROKE!!! Take care of your kids and lead by example. Wow! You know, I never really thought of it that way, but when I look back on the show I realize that this is so true. I really thought she was just being extremely selfish and making her kids live her dream for her, but now I think that you are absolutely correct. She didn't hear a word from Dr. Phil and even offered him her video! I hope she comes to her senses for the sake of her kids, but I just can't see it happening.

If you have spent more money than the bus ride to the lessons you payed too much. And if it has taken 25 years to try to make it big you got taken for a ride. If it is tap shoes you need then why don't go to the dunpster and get some pop bottle cap's and glue them too you shoe's. The sad part of the whole thing that she didn't here a word that Dr Phil said.And where is the Father?If I was the Father I would take the Children away from her.
