To all of the guests, way to go for the amazing weight loss! To Laurie, I think you look just GREAT, you do not look too thin. As for your sister, she is just jealous. Instead of being envious of you, she should be congratulating you! Maybe you could give her pointers on how you lost your weight. You should all be proud of yourselves!

Laurie.....I joined Weight Watchers over 2 years ago and have lost 40 pounds. I thought that I would give you a few suggestions for breakfast and lunch. There are lite English muffins in the grocery store along with lite bread. Have an egg, english muffin, with spray "I Can't believe it's not Butter" on it or Quaker oatmeal with fresh fruit and fat free cool whip on it sprinkled with cinnamon....Lunch....a sandwich made on lite bread with low fat lunchmeat on it or tuna salad/chicken salad or a toss salad or a Lean Cuisine or Smart One frozen meal or leftover meat (chicken) from the night before in a sandwich or cut up on a salad. You can do it even tho your husband eats fattening stuff in front of you. Also try walking every morning. I walk 3 miles a day. It is hard in this cold, winter weather in PA. and I know it must be doubly hard in Maine. Go to a mall and walk. You CAN DO IT!!!!! Jean in PA

one of the worst things you can do is to skip breakfast and/or lunch, when yu do that your motabolism shuts down which means you aren't going to be burning any fat!!! that really sucks!! try having some fruit or something lowfat, for lunch try a salad or some grilled chicken or fish and some veggies!!!!
yes i know maggiemay8 ok no more skiping meals...

Hi Laurie,
I was SO inspired today after watching the amazing transformations of the men and women on the show. I would love to email back and forth for encouragement. I have 4 boys 7 and under, and should lose 100 pounds. I have always been an active person, but I am an emotional eater, and am now working on the 7 keys. I am in central Maine, and I am ready to role! I hope to hear back from you! Good luck! Jill

Hi - it's Joy here from the show this week. I think it is awesome that you are doing something positive for yourself! If you are following weight watchers, I know there are certain foods they restrict you too, so I don't know if my suggestions will work or not. I did not use a diet plan that was that strict, I just changed the way I treated my body and eliminated the fast food and junk. I ate things that I had to actually prepare. I ate fruit (apples are great) and oatmeal for breakfast or eggs and 1 piece of toast. It's good to get low carb bread or bread that is more dense. For lunch if you like tuna or egg salad try that right out of the bowl - no bread and light on the mayo. I still do that a lot. Phil has great ideas in his book and also on the website - you can download meal plans. Have you checked out ediets? It is a lot easier than weight watchers, because you can eat the same way the rest of your life - and that's the goal isn't - thin and healthy forever! I wish you well Wowsa! I can offer more specific advise if you are interested.
There are a list of "Free Foods" that I can post - they are all foods that do not count as calories and are all beneficial to your health and fill you up when you are hungry!
Thanks,
Joy

Laurie, One thing Ive learned through through My weight ups and downs, Is Not to skip a meal, It lowers your metabolism.....
Did you know the inches you can actually lose on your body is just from the food you eat, meaning, LOTS OF VEGGIES, One of my favorite meals now, Is The chicken BLT salad from Wendys with of course our own fat free dressings But still I lost over 40 inches since October and 25 lbs, Just for not eating as much carbds, More veggies proetein, and a little bit of fats......and fruit, and very little dairy......And I feel and look great, and I didn't even excersise........But I should,........Oh and My husband could eat anyone under the table, and not gain a pound.....SICK ISN;T IT

Well I for one can't wait to see this show!
I can't wait to see my favorite 2 challengers, Monika and Kim! They have great message boards, booty camp boards, and they are looking wonderful in their pics on the boards! I encourage anyone looking for that Key #7, Circle of Support to visit either or both of these boards! They are terrific!!! They are very quick at responding to posts and they post all the time. There is lots of love, support, encouragement, meal plan ideas, and recipes there also! And lots of folks losing pounds and inches!
I hope the teams tie so BOTH teams can go to the spa. They are all losing and deserve it!
AND then BOTH my faves can go to the spa. :-)

I want to start out by saying that I am a weight loss challenger from home and have lost 30 lbs (have 60 to go) to date. I think the book and shows are fantastic and I can't emphasize enough how much my life has changed. I'm a regular exerciser!!!! This is probably what I am most proud of.
I ask this question without having watched the show yet.. I'll see it in a little over an hour.
It seems that some of the guests on the show have lost well over 100 lbs since they started the challenge. This is in about a 17, 18 week span. That averages out to about 7 lbs a week or a pound a day EVERY day. Can this be healthy?? I wonder if some of them started losing weight before the challenge started in September? I hope these questions will be answered when I watch the show today.
I am not skeptical of the WLC program, only such a rapid weight loss. I've always been told that a healthy weight loss consists of an average of 1-2 lbs a week.
Also, I'm very happy for the guests for having taken control of their lives. I'm glad to be amongst the "losers", even if my progress is seemingly slower.
Can anyone shed some light on this rapid weight loss for me?
Thanks!
Sarah :)

You are SO right! I hope you saw the show and felt inspired and not frustrated. This is Joy (the blonde) from the show. I have lost 103 pounds now (5 more since I taped the show). I didn't loose it in 5 months, it took me a year. I started by reading Phil's first book and healing my emotions and then getting serious about the weight loss. When the Weight Loss Challenge began I was in the midst of my weight loss and it was a TREMENDOUS encouragement to keep me on track.
Everyone is different so be kind to yourself and let your body loose it naturally and healthily. You will be so much happier with the result.
..and remember men loose weight much faster than woman. Jim looks fantastic and really did the work, it just worked faster for him. He didn't starve himself or get crazy.
I dieted for 10 years and never felt this good. After 1 year I have a figure again and know that I will never gain the weight back!! You are worth it - you are all worth it!
