I have a wonderful man in my life that made the terrible mistake of cheating on his former wife years ago. We've been together for quite sometime and I have no fear that he has ever cheated on me nor has he even considered it. We all make mistakes. He made his bad one, but I can forgive and forget!

I had no thoughts about my husband of 10 years cheating on me either until two weeks ago. This is when he was caught with another woman in his vehichle. A week later, I caught him again, but with a different woman, a prostitute,(I assume) I HAD noticed a few changes, but never thought he would cheat. I thought it was stress from our finances. Boy, was I wrong! So, just keep your head up there and wait til you or someone else catches him cause once they do it and get away with it, they WILL do it again.

When you get involved with a cheater, you will always have to watch your back. This is their behavior. It is unchangable. Men will always think about sex first before anything else. Before children, marriage, honor, commitment, family...anything.

That is a huge generalization. I believe that there are honorable men in the world who can and will resist temptation. It is possible for a man to put his family and commitment to them ahead of his sexual desires. I just don't believe that ALL men cheat.
And this comes from someone who was cheated on ... and left.

Excuse me, BUT..debg1255's comment was in regards to a CHEATER!! Why don't U go to the "Cheaters" & "Infidelity" boards and find out "what most men think about when they are cheating". You will find that it is about SEX!! Go & read some of the comments that those board members have written about. What got me the most was that my H had lied to the OW about having a child. He couldn't even tell her that he was a father, even when she had told him she was a divorced mother of 2 kids. I totally agree with debg1255... Yeh, today marks my 3rd year of "finding out" about H affair...We're still together, but sometimes I need to come to the boards for some support and your comment is one of DENIAL... Please go to the other boards. You'll find a lot of good info!! It helped me get out of my denial 3 yrs ago... DJ

You are very right about the statement "Men will always think about sex before anything else..." Not all Men are like this, but there is alot that are. It is hard to find those special few but they are out there. I'm not saying that those few are perfect because even they too have down falls. So to those women you have been lied too and cheated on there is hope out there for you. Just take yoour time and keep a positive outlook on relationships because someone good is out there for you. I didn't think it could happen either but I thought the same thimg too about all men out ther but I did find someone that isn't. What a change for the better and how wonderful it is.

Ya know, I agree. I was married for a short 2yrs. I was cheated on. I am currently with someone who I would never in a million years think would cheat on me. Plus, I know some signs now. My father cheated and has since married the OW. She was married also. I have forgiving both. I truely believe that they learned.

On top of the absence of trust in your relationship, cheating also subjects both parties to diseases-AIDS, herpes, syphilis and all other STD's... and of course, the parties who cheat with you may become your local stalker, watching your kids, your house.....do you really want to stay in this situation? And, the cheater DOES things to the other partner....like exposing them to things of this nature......

You are a sweet person to believe he would NEVER cheat again. We've dealt with a similar situation and the temptation is always there, but it will never happen again. Those who say "Once a cheater, always a cheater" think they are ALL experts.
