(Hollywood, CA – October 27, 2015) – Shocking audio tape of telephone conversations with former Subway spokesman Jared Fogle, secretly recorded by former journalist Rochelle Herman-Walrond, in which Fogle discusses his sexual interest and sexual encounters with children, will be heard for the first time in a special two-part DR. PHIL exclusive, airing Thursday, October 29and Friday, October 30 (check local listings).
Fogle, 38, the father of two, made headlines earlier this year when he was arrested and agreed to plead guilty to traveling to engage in paid sex with minors and distribution and receipt of child pornography. Fogle is scheduled for sentencing November 19 and prosecutors are seeking a sentence of between 5-12 years in prison.
“Are there any of your kids’ friends that you think are pretty hot?”
– Jared Fogle to Rochelle Herman-Walrond in an audio tape
“I’m removing myself from who I am and embracing an imaginary person. I had to be two separate people in order to continue on with this investigation.”
– Rochelle Herman-Walrond on her state of mind during the four years secretly recording conversations with Jared Fogle.
“You’ve got to take care of you. Whatever you have to do to heal whatever’s happened in you so you don’t get dragged down by him. That’s the real crime here. Even though you are through with him, he continues to impact your life by leaving some really bad marks on you.”
– Dr. Phil to Rochelle Herman-Walrond
“You just opened my eyes to the fact that I am one of his victims and that is something that I will stand tall and not become.”
– Rochelle Herman-Walrond to Dr. Phil after telling her not to be one of Jared’s victims.
“I would fly us clear across the world if we need to. To Thailand or wherever we want to go. If we’re gonna try to get some young kids with us it would be a lot easier.”
– Jared Fogle to Rochelle Herman-Walrond in an audio tape
“What if we put a camera in your kids’ room, would they be okay with that?”
