Now I do the things that make me happy, and I don’t worry so much about the things that are out of my control. My relationship with Ma is better than ever. We’re all going to Disney soon, and we have kept her involved with the children as much as possible. I knew when Ma moved out that I would have to learn how to cook, so I went to a cooking boot camp on the Food Network. I learned so much and had a great experience, although I did cry a lot. This motivated me to put together a cookbook that would help our heroes. All of the profits will go to help our service men and women. I opened an upscale salon in the worst economy in my history, and it is doing great! I have always been a go getter and I knew if I worked hard enough, I could do anything. This has been my year, and there is no holding me back now! Dr. Phil is the reason I picked up and moved 3,000 miles away from everything I had ever known over 13 years ago. When I met my husband, Michael, 12 years ago, I told him that we owe our relationship to Dr. Phil, because I would not have moved if not for his advice.
I really don’t know what else to say except thank you, Dr. Phil. Your words of wisdom have been helping me through life for years.
