First Impression

The kids embark on their first challenge: Get up in front of the group and sell yourself in 60 seconds. Casting agents say they can tell whether they want to work with a child within that first minute. Little do the children know, talent representative Susie Mains is secretly watching them — and later offers her critiques.

Watch the kids sell themselves, and then vote for the person you think made the best first impression. Plus, Susie reveals the one critical mistake she says all of the children made.

Taking Direction

Director Danny Kaufman auditions the kids for a mock television commercial alongside Jake Short, star of Disney Channel’s A.N.T. Farm. The winner of the competition will earn the chance to audition for an actual commercial spot. 

Moms in the Hot Seat

Dr. Phil takes the mothers aside for a heart-to-heart talk. “We’ve been grading your papers as well,” he tells them. Are the moms’ actions helping or hurting their child’s dreams? Susie and Danny offer their perspectives.
