          About:

The oldest of four brothers, Bob is originally from Chicago, Illinois. During high school Bob excelled in sports and was offered a pole-vaulting scholarship to Illinois Southern University. But the Lord had a different direction. Upon graduation Bob selected Trinity International University (formerly Trinity College) in Deerfield, Illinois and majored in biblical studies. Using his talent he coached high school pole-vaulting and also served as a youth pastor in Akron, Ohio. Bob has been a senior pastor in Arizona, Florida, and New York. Years later he attended Dallas Theological Seminary and graduated with a Th.M. (1987) and MABC (2002). From 1991-1993, he continued post-graduate work at the University of South Florida in Counselor Education. While in Florida, he served as a social worker for the department of Health and Rehabilitative Services in Ft. Myers, counseling developmentally disabled adults. Additionally, he taught as a substitute at the graduate school and interned under the direction of Dr. Lucy Mabery-Foster (Dallas Theological Seminary). He served as a adjunct professor of psychology at Collin College and lecturer at Southern Methodist University continuing education department. His gift and passion for biblically-based counseling has also led him to build a thriving practice with offices in Frisco and Plano Texas where he is the president and clinical director, licensed professional counselor, board certified anger resolution therapist of Stonebriar Counseling Associates. As a counselor and seminar speaker at various professional associations, his writing has also includes publications such as Conflict Resolution for Children(Collin County Kids),Counseling Intervention with Couples, Relationship Networking In The Business World, Estate Planning, and Financial Planning for the Family(Colorado Springs Business Journal). Both he and Lois who live in Plano, Texas are the proud parents of four children and six grandchildren.

Professional counseling is offered to help people achieve control over actions through an understanding of how thoughts, feelings, and decisions produce actions. I provide a safe environment where one’s private pain can be shared in confidence so as to grow in self-awareness and self-esteem while helping each each person make decisions, solve problems, and overcome past and present abuses and pains. Sometimes when negative memories prohibit an individual from enjoying a satisfying life, issues in one’s family of origin can be explored to understand the past and seek to establish a new identity. Feelings like fear, sorrow, anger, rejection, and loneliness can lessen as self-acceptance and coping skills are encouraged and strengthened.
