Tom and Karen say they’re at their wit’s end with teenage daughters Madison and Liz, who they describe as working together to “terrorize” the family. They claim Fifteen-year-old Madison and 13-year-old Liz have both had issues with substance abuse, bullying, domestic battery, and other behaviors that have led to multiple encounters with the police.

Following their family’s appearance on Dr. Phil, the parents agreed to send both sisters to a residential therapy program for teens in crisis. While both are enrolled at Center For Discovery, they are brought to separate facilities in order to work on their issues individually.
“For both girls to actually be gone from our family is kind of shocking,” says Karen. “The weight has been lifted."
Tom and Karen have agreed to work on their issues, and on a new parenting plan while their daughters are away.
