Jana and Allen say they have been in constant conflict with their neighbors Maritha and Melanie since they moved into the house behind them. The families have been in battles over barking dogs, explosives allegedly planted in the backyard, an alleged assault and false police reports. Tensions have escalated to the point that both families have installed surveillance cameras around their homes because they say they fear for their safety.

In the video above, Dr. Phil offers the families advice for de-escalating the situation.
“At some point, everybody has to stop being a right fighter and start deciding that they’re going to be part of the solution, instead of part of the problem,” he tells them. “I really hope that at some point, you can decide, ‘You know what? I’m going to hit the reset button here and I’m going to decide that whatever has happened has happened’ … You need to ask yourselves, what can I do to improve this situation?”
