National Parenting Survey

In the fall of 2003, Dr. Phil conducted a national parenting survey. His questionnaire was posted on DrPhil.com and given to hundreds of people in his studio audience. A total of 20,031 subjects volunteered to participate in either the Web-based study or the questionnaire handed out prior to the show. The results of the responses were represented by the demographic categories of gender, race, age group, residence address, number of children raised in family, parenting time demands and type of family structures. Volunteers were treated in accordance with the Ethical Principles of Psychologists and Code of Conduct (American Psychological Association, 1992). The results cited have been drawn from some of the analyses of the survey to be published in peer-reviewed journals. Click here to view a copy of the questionnaire. (Adobe Acrobat is required).
