Saying No to Temptations
My tip for today has to do with temptations that abound in your life, for you and your children.
You need to understand that there is an entire marketing machine out there that is designed to bombard you with all kinds of temptations. The psychology and science is really strong. They're after you to sell you something they want you to buy.
Become aware and start asking yourself and deconstructing these ads. If they're using these cartoons for kids and all kinds of excitement and fun surrounding food or some activity, ask yourself what that has to do with what it is that you're being sold. Don't be naive, and recognize that your children are exposed to so many choices in this day and time that you need to be educating them. Be aware that temptation can be controlled, if you're conscious of it.
