Silent Addictions
Our tip for today has to do with what I call silent addictions — the addictions that may be dominating your life, but they don't get much press and they don't get much attention. We talk about addictions to drugs, alcohol, tobacco, but the truth is that food may be the most widespread and powerful addiction in your entire life. And, if you don't pay attention to it, it will shorten your life. It will lower the quality of your life. We know for sure that if you take over in your mind and you start challenging yourself to not just accept your patterns, not just go from one minute to an hour, to a day, to a week, to a month, then you can make changes.
Psychological addictions can be very powerful just as can physiological addictions. So don't underestimate the problem.
