The Heartbreaking Reason A 14-Year-Old Has Never Had A Friend Over To His House
Josh, 14, says he didn't know what a "normal" house was like until he had a sleepover at a friend's house when he was 10. That's when he realized that his mom's hoarding was an issue.
Take a look inside his home, where his mom keeps hundreds of plastic bags, expired medication, empty water bottles, broken hangers and more.
"The hardest part of this house is not having my own space," says Josh, who has been sleeping on the couch for years because his mom uses his room for storage. "It's horrible. It's a nightmare here. I can't sleep in my own bed. I don't have my own room to play video games. I have to either do homework on my lap or on a TV tray in the living room."
Watch the video above, as he explains that he's never had a friend come over, and he can't wait to move out when he turns 18.
Will Josh's mom get the help she needs before she and her stuff literally push her family out?
