What's Behind Your Choices
Life is an accumulation of choices. You make choices every day — some small, some large. So it's important to understand what drives your choices.
Some are made passively. We just get caught up in the river of life and we just flow where it takes us. But then there are others that are driven by a specific motive. And the motive for most choices is fear. Think about it. We choose things because we're afraid of what might happen if we don't. We take a job — not because we want that job, but we're afraid we may not have another one. Sometimes, we might choose a partner because we're afraid it's the best choice we'll ever have.
Realize that your number one fear is rejection. So don't let that be the motive that causes you to make the choice of sitting on the sidelines. Get in the game.
