Why This Mother Says She Still Does Her 29-Year-Old Daughter’s Laundry
Constance says her 29-year-old daughter, Candice, was once a sweet, charming, perfect honor roll student but is now a lying, thieving, drug-addicted master manipulator and con-artist. She says her relationship with her daughter is so strained that the police have been called to their home at least 10 times in the past year. “The cops have been to our house so many times, they know us, and they’re a little tired of it,” she says.
Candice says her mother controls “every single aspect” of her life. “My mom and I fight every single day,” she says. “It can get to the point where we can almost kill each other.” She says her mother is to blame for her situation because she has been “spoon-fed” all her life and wouldn’t know what to do if she moved out on her own. “Literally, she does my laundry for me,” she says.
Constance admits she paid the bill after Candice stole her credit in order to get breast implants at 23. Last year, Candice says she opened another card in her mother’s name and spent $3,000. “My mom still pays the bill for that,” she says. “A year ago, I purchased a $30,000 Mercedes. I manipulated paycheck stubs to show that I was making $80,000 to $90,000 a year.”
Constance says, “I don’t know why she’s not in jail.”
