"I scrambled for the plane as Alex headed to the hospital," says Dr. Phil. "With the help of some highly committed pilots, very helpful air traffic controllers and some good tail winds, I just made it."
"Let's just wait this out together," says Dr. Phil.
Erin is with Alexandra through every step of the birthing process, encouraging her to push and reminding her to breathe.
After the birth, Alexandra and Erin recall the experience. "I was in a lot of pain and I was scared," says Alexandra. "I was nervous, but also relieved because I know it's only a matter of time before Nathan is here."
"I saw him, and he started to cry and I thought, 'Oh my gosh, he's really here,'" says Alexandra.
"She was looking up at me and I was telling her, 'Let's get through this contraction,'" says Erin.
"The doctor held up Nathan and I felt really, really excited," says Alexandra. "I don't even know how to explain it, I just cried. I felt so much love for him when he was only a couple of seconds old."
"I love you too, Mommy," Alexandra replies.
