Anti-Aging: Cori and Robin

Anti-Aging: Cori and Robin
Dr. Phil reveals how you can look and feel as young as you can.

Cori is a 41-year-old mother of two, who's tired of looking older than her age. Very often, people mistake her as the grandmother of her own children. "It just makes me feel that I've aged so much without noticing," says Cori, who is ready for a change.

Since she works from home, her wardrobe consists of T-shirts, sweatshirts, shorts and sandals. She occasionally

wears mascara, but no other makeup. Cori has worn her hair long for years. She'll cut hairstyles she likes out of magazines and set them aside for later, but eventually she throws them out and keeps her hair the same. "I must look older than I feel," says Cori, who would like a more stylish look that shows her real age.

Robin invites Cori over to start her "make younger" transformation!

Robin shows Cori her favorite workout: using resistance bands for the triceps, back and biceps. "It just works your entire body. You can be in your home with this one band and have a very intense workout," says Robin. She also enjoys walking, which she started doing when her sons were little. "This is a good time to just be by yourself," she tells Cori on their walk.

"I think every woman should treat herself at least once a week to a facial mask," says Robin, as she gives one to Cori. "It's very refreshing. You can do this at home and you can do it all by yourself."

Robin takes Cori to a dentist to have her teeth whitened, works

with her on her wardrobe, and takes her in to have her hair done by hair stylist, Umberto, and her makeup done by makeup artist, Gregory Alt.

"I feel extremely lucky to be here," says Cori. "I just feel like Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz!"

"So how much younger does she look?" Dr. Phil asks Robin.

"Oh, at least 10 or 15 years," says Robin. "Not only does she now look her age, she's at least 10 years younger than her age. And she feels younger."

Robin reveals the new Cori. When she walks out, her husband's mouth drops open!

"I don't think they're going to call you Grandma," Dr. Phil tells Cori.

"They better not!" she exclaims. "I had a blast. It was so much fun."

"I am the most non-style conscious person you've ever met in your life," says Dr. Phil. "But Robin said you started feeling different as you were going through this process. Tell me why."

"I could kind of see the years coming off as the gray came out of my hair and the makeup came on," says Cori. "I got the tips about how to make my skin feel and look younger, and you know, it's just all in your mind."

"It is all in your mind!" agrees Dr. Phil. "You said, 'I was feeling fat, I was feeling frumpy.' And you said, 'I really have low self-esteem.' And that was a matter of mind, and when you started paying attention to yourself, and started tending to yourself some, you felt better. You felt more valued as you went along."

"Right," says Cori.

"As parents we think we've got to put our kids first all the time, but the real truth is if you really love those children, you'll take care of their mom. And the more lively and vibrant and vital you feel, the more of mom they get," says Dr. Phil. "The most important thing to me is that you started feeling different. The number one predictor of longevity is that you're happy."

Robin says the products that she used on Cori are products she's been using for the last 20 years, and anyone can buy them at their local retailer.
