Jay joins Michelle and his mother with Dr. Phil. He cannot show his face because of what he does for a living. Jay says the timeline of events
Dr. Phil tells Jay that he cares less about when something what was said than what was said. He points to Michelle and Jane. "When these two are calling each other bitches, to me, that is not a timing issue. The fact that it is going on is highly destructive," he says.
Dr. Phil points out that Michelle has made some insincere apologies as well. He shows her MySpace profile. It reads, "I am so sorry if I have offended you in any way. Please accept my most sincere and humble apology. Now * off and leave me alone!"
"This was after numerous times of both of us telling her, ‘Stop looking at our page,'" Michelle explains.
"You know, I just feel that common sense needs to make a comeback," Dr. Phil says. "There's nothing your future mother-in-law can say, that your mother can say, that justifies the things y'all have said and done." Dr. Phil tells Jane, "There's nothing that they can say that justifies the things that you have said and done to them. This has just gone into a meltdown."
"She has been on a campaign of hate mail ever since the middle of May, and you know it!" Jane says, directing her gaze at Jay.
Dr. Phil tells Michelle, "You're shaking your head no, but I've got a list of text messages here in quotes where you have written to her, ‘You're pathetic. You'll never be part of Jay's life because I'm not going anywhere. If you don't want me to respond, leave my name out of your **** mouth. I'm not jealous, you stupid bitch. You no longer exist to us.'"
"She tells me all the time, ‘Well, you're just jealous of me,'" Michelle explains. "No, I'm not."
"Yes, you are!" Jane exclaims. "You absolutely are! What is the reason for you acting the way you've been acting? There is no other reason. You're in competition, which is absolutely ridiculous. I'm his mother! You're going to be his wife! Those are two separate things. He has enough love in him, Michelle, to love both of us!"
"Wow," Jay says.
"Yeah, you should say, 'Wow!'" Jane responds, beginning to cry.
"Oh, my God," Michelle says under her breath.
"Don't you dare say anything," Jane warns her.
Jay implores his mother to calm down.
