Relationship Rescue Retreat: Finale: Rene and Gelsy
In the dramatic conclusion, six couples who were on the verge of divorce return for an update.
"The retreat definitely made me realize that I needed to change myself," says Gelsy, who's been working on her perfectionism. "I've been trying to not let the toys and the kids making a mess get to me ... I'm making a humongous effort not to curse in front of the kids," she says. "We hope for many, many years of happiness."

Gelsy's husband, Rene, didn't like seeing himself on TV with such a bad attitude. "It was a big eye opener.
I definitely had to change," he says.

Rene is now helping his wife more with the kids and around the house. "Dr. Phil helped me realize that my wife had a lot on her shoulders," says Rene. "Since the retreat, I'm a better husband, just trying to make my wife and my kids happy."

Dr. Phil asks Rene, "So you're behaving differently, correct?"

"Yes," says Rene. "I guess it's just the way I carry myself. I just think a little bit more. The way that I came across to my wife and to a lot of other people " it's just a very negative way of being."

"It's good to see you guys more relaxed and calmed down," Dr. Phil

tells them.

"It feels good," says Gelsy.

"And to see you smiling," Dr. Phil tells Gelsy. "With a lot of kids around, you're still smiling."
