Facing Elimination

The group arrives at the Bill Bates Cowboy Ranch, in Celina, Texas. In their next challenge, they have to move multiple 50-pound bales of hay across the field, to form the Texas flag. This challenge is going to test their strength and speed. The reward for finishing the challenge first is immunity from elimination.

[AD]"I was born and raised on a farm, so I was definitely pumped that we were going to be doing something of that sort for our challenge today," Annette says.

"When I first saw the hay, I was like, 'Excuse my French: Hell no,'" Toria says.

The whistle blows, and the participants work together to haul the heavy bales. Some competitors fight and bicker with their partners. Once again, Patrick and Verne win the challenge and win immunity from elimination.

Just as the challenge ends, Toria feels faint and collapses. Her breathing is fast and ragged. Medical personnel apply cold towels to her neck and give her oxygen and an asthma inhaler. Eventually, she is revived.

[AD]Annette is frustrated with Verne and Patrick's winning streak. "I'm sick of it," she says. "Somebody needs to take them down and lower their egos a little bit."

"I think that everybody looks at us as a threat. If we wouldn't have had immunity today, we would be on our way back to Minnesota," Verne says.

TV personality and famous daughter Katie Wagner joins the group for elimination. She informs them, "Moments ago, I got a call from Dr. Phil. He wants to call off the elimination for now and give you all another lap around the track," she says.

[AD]The challengers are surprised and relieved. Toria wipes her tears away. "It was like a weight being lifted off my shoulders. I felt like I could breathe again," she says.
