My husband and I had been trying to have a baby for years. I read Tuesdays with Morrie several times, and the lesson on family and there being no substitute to having children had a huge effect on me. We traveled to China and adopted two beautiful girls. Tuesdays with Morrie changed my life by making me realize I needed to live my life and follow my dreams.
The moment I finished Tuesdays with Morrie, I knew I must go visit the man I had admired so much as a little girl: my grandfather. I flew to see him and we shared four precious days of memories about life on his farm and laughed at his many one-liners. He talked about becoming the oldest tandem skydiver in the United States at 92. He was even still competing in the senior Olympics at 95. He passed away two-and-a-half years ago, but if it weren't for reading Tuesdays with Morrie, I would never have reconnected with such a special man.

Morrie gave me peace in teaching that just because my brother wasn't physically with me anymore, his spirit would never die. I have read this book at least a dozen times, and I turn to it every time I'm confronted
Bonnie traveled all the way from Nova Scotia to be in the audience because Tuesdays with Morrie had such a big impact on her!
