Dr. Phil tells her: "You're not making smart choices. What I want to do is change the way you relate to food, change the way you choose the food, change the way you eat the food ... change the way you do it for the rest of your life."
Then she reveals: Now, the most embarrassing place I eat. I've learned to hide my eating by eating in the bathroom stall at work. Now this habit has carried over to my home life. I often eat while going to the bathroom or taking a bath. I know you're probably saying, "Yuck!" Yeah, it is gross. But the bathroom at home is the place where I feel the most relaxed and comfortable. Today I took a bath while I ate my lunch. Dr. Phil, I need help, what should I do?
Dr. Phil says, "Becky, you need a lot of help!"
Also, eating only at the table and putting the fork down between bites can be helpful. "The idea is that it slows you down to let yourself observe control and let your body catch up with you," he explains. "I promise you, you could lose all of the weight you want to lose between now and your wedding if you would just do what I just said."
