Josh’s wife, Sky, and his ex-fiancée, Ashley, both claim he is controlling and has put his hands on them in anger. Josh admits, he’s become physical with Sky in the past, but denies ever touching Ashley in anger.

When asked whether he has monitored Sky’s email, and Ashley’s texts when they were a couple, Josh admits he has; saying, “I have insecurity issues.”

“He says what I need to do is fix your problems and then he will be better,” says Dr. Phil to Sky on Tuesday’s episode. But he brought those problems to the relationship with him.”

Then, addressing the allegations of physical abuse, Dr. Phil tells Josh, “Listen, I don’t know who dropped the ball in your life but somebody failed to tell you - you don’t ever put your hands on a woman in anger.”
