Tammi says she met her former fiancé, Chris, on an online dating site. They dated for seven years, blended their families; broke up, and got back together twice. Eleven months after the former couple ended things for good, Tammi says he attacked her. TELL DR. PHIL YOUR STORY: Life in crisis?
“The day Chris attacked me, he had offered to help me unpack, and bring over a pizza, and just be friends. After we finished, I had thanked him for everything he helped me do. That’s the last memory I have of that evening. The next thing I remember is being on all fours, being pounded in the head. Chris was hitting me with a meat tenderizer.”
She claims Chris repeatedly hit her, snapped her vertebrae, and choked her
before taking her out of her new home, and back to the house they once shared. “I was begging him the whole time not to kill me.”
Tammi says she used to love her life “But ever since the attack I don’t have any trust in myself.” Who does she credit with saving her life?
