Pamela claims her ex-husband, Pete walked out of their happy, 17-year marriage after he started “an affair” with Lori in 2011. But Pete says he was deeply unhappy in his marriage to Pamela well before he met Lori, that he and Pamela were separated (but living under the same roof) at the time, and that Pamela is a “dependent woman” whom he rescued “emotionally, financially and socially. He says that second wife, Lori, is his “soul-mate.”
TELL DR. PHIL YOUR STORY: Is your family a stressed mess?
Pete and Lori both claim Pamela “set him up” by agreeing to separate and live as single people and then hiring a private investigator to catch him “cheating” and threatened to sue Lori for $375,000. “In our state, the spouse can sue you for alienation of affection; meaning I stole his affection from her,” says Lori.
But Pete says Pamela didn’t have a case. “We were separated under the same roof well before Lori entered the picture.“ He says he started sleeping in another room several months before meeting Lori.
“We were still man and wife – he was still in my bed,” says Pamela; something Pete doesn’t deny sometimes occurred. “What I’m saying is, it was very dissatisfying, very unhappy, and it didn’t happen the way that Pamela is saying it,” explains Pete.
