Warning For Woman Who Says She “Enables” Husband’s “Excessive Drinking”

          July 26, 2016

Megan claims for the last five years, her husband, Scott, has been a drunken, incorrigible, alcoholic mess, and it’s a miracle he’s still alive. Scott says he realizes the toll his drinking is taking on his family, but claims it’s not nearly as bad as his family makes it out to be. He says he doesn’t know why he drinks to excess but insists he can get it under control.

“My husband, Scott, is an out-of-control alcoholic. He can go from perfectly sober in the morning to completely intoxicated, fall-down drunk by the end of the day,” Megan claims.

She says he has been admitted to the hospital numerous times, and claims he was drunk when he fell down a flight of stairs, broke his neck and ended up in a coma for 22 days, yet she says he continues to drink and put his life and the lives of others in jeopardy.

Now turning to Dr. Phil for help, Megan says after five rehabs and 40 hospital visits, she’s running out of hope for Scott and their marriage.

“I am completely exhausted. My family doesn’t deserve it, and I don’t deserve it,” she says.

In the video above, Dr. Phil asks Megan, “What is it that you know about yourself that makes you believe you don’t deserve any better than what you’re settling for?” And, he has a powerful warning for her.
