Christine says after she divorced her husband, David, he was granted custody of their children. She says she tried to have visitation but that David made it difficult.

“After a few times trying to go through the court, I finally just threw my hands up in the air and said, '[Expletive] it. I’ll see them when they’re 18,’” she says.
In the video above, Dr. Phil questions Christine about her decision, especially since she says she wondered whether her daughter, Kelly, was being abused by her ex.
“I’ve got to tell you, I’m stunned at that,” Dr. Phil says.
“I kept fighting and fighting and fighting, until I couldn’t fight [any] more,” Christine say.

When Dr. Phil presses, pointing out that Christine’s previous comments contradict what she’s telling him now, the mom stands up and starts to walk off stage.
“I’m not going to do this,” Christine says.
“You’re not done. Your daughter is here and she deserves for you to sit here and talk to her,” Dr. Phil tells her. “Don’t you throw your hands up and walk out on her again. Answer the question.”
