JAY MCGRAW
Jay McGraw is the creator and executive producer of the Emmy Award-winning syndicated series THE DOCTORS, as well as president and CEO of Los Angeles-based Stage 29 Productions. He previously served as executive producer of MyNetwork’s Decision House series and hosted the prime time FOX series, Renovate My Family. His other production credits include co-executive producer or executive producer of seven Dr. Phil CBS prime time specials.
He is a #1 New York Times best-selling author of The Ultimate Weight Solution for Teens: The 7 Keys to Weight Freedom, Life Strategies For Teens and Closing The Gap: A Strategy for Bringing Parents and Teens Together. Jay’s latest book, Life Strategies for Dealing with Bullies, was released in the fall of 2008.
McGraw is a regular contributor on the Dr. Phil show, and has been featured on Good Morning America, The Today Show, The Early Show, Entertainment Tonight and Extra! He has also been featured as a teen expert on The Montel Williams Show and Politically Incorrect, and has been interviewed on CNN's "Talk Back Live." He has contributed to Seventeen magazine and has been a featured columnist for CosmoGIRL! McGraw has also toured the nation speaking to school children, and his books have been incorporated into the curriculum of schools across the country as a guide to helping kids obtain their goals.
McGraw earned his law degree from Southern Methodist University and is a graduate of the University of Texas, where he received a B.S. in psychology. A licensed pilot, a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, a certified SCUBA diver and an avid golfer, McGraw keeps himself busy outside of work. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Erica.
