Brittanee Drexel’s Last Words To Mom Before 2009 Disappearance: ‘I’ll See You Later, I Love You’

          VIDEO

          October 7, 2016

Seven years after the mysterious disappearance of 17-year-old Brittanee Drexel while on spring break in South Carolina, new claims about the teenager’s fate have emerged. An FBI agent recently testified in a federal court that a jailhouse informant has made claims that he witnessed Brittanee’s last moments alive. The agent testified that the informant claims he saw Brittanee being sexually assaulted at what he calls a “stash house,” and pistol whipped when she tried to escape. Then, he claims he heard two gunshots. He says he believes Brittanee was killed, and her body fed to alligators in a nearby pit.

On April 25, 2009, 17-year-old Brittanee Drexel vanished into thin-air in Myrtle Beach, SC. The Rochester, NY teen, had gone there for spring break without her parents’ permission. Surveillance video from a hotel lobby the night of her disappearance was one of the last clues left behind. Security cameras that had captured Brittanee on her walk from her own hotel to the BlueWater Resort did not show her walking back.

Brittanee’s boyfriend at the time, John who did not go to South Carolina, said she had been texting with him all evening. He reported that when Brittanee suddenly stopped answering his texts just before 9 pm, he grew concerned. “I said if she didn’t get in contact with me, I was going to call her mom, and I was going to break it to the family that she was down in South Carolina.”

Brittanee’s mother, Dawn Drexel, says that when John telephoned it was the first she learned her daughter had left the state. Dawn says she spoke with Brittanee earlier that day. “I asked her where she was; she said she was at the beach and that she was just going to go watch movies later.”

Dawn says her daughter told her “‘I’ll see you later, I love you’ and that was the last time I talked to her.”

In the video above, Brittanee’s mother gives her impressions of the night she disappeared. Dawn Drexel talks with Dr. Phil about Brittanee’s last known whereabouts, and where police tracked her phone’s movements after she went missing.
