
Adjusting to Parenthood
New parents need to make big adjustments when the little one arrives. Dr. Phil speaks with guests about the difficult transition into their new roles.

Sherri says that since their 14-month-old son was born, her husband, Kirk, has not given up any of his free time to spend with the baby. Kirk says he was looking forward to a life without kids.


Robin is ready to call it quits because her husband, Steve, does not help care for their 10-month-old daughter. Steve says she's the one with a "motherly instinct" and he has no idea where to fit in.


Since giving birth over a year ago, Stacy has been overcome with frustration and anger, and she doesn't know why. Her husband, Dave, is concerned her behavior may affect their son.
